Who are you going to cut to make room for him?

My guess would be because Anderson and Weems play special teams the roster spot would come from CB or S where we has trading ally kept more players than other positions.

I would also no rule out only keeping 8 DL where last season we had 9.

I had 8 DL and 5 S on my 53 and there was no room for Wilson. Try making a 53 and not cutting a player who will be a regular contributor to keep Wilson who will never be active next year barring catastrophic injury.

Here's what I had
2 QBs
3 RBs
1 FB
3 OTs
4 OGs
2 Cs
3 TEs
6 WRs

4 DEs
4 DTs
7 LBs
6 CBs
5 S

3 Specialists

Yeah, if it means keeping Frey or Steltz off the active roster to keep Wilson on you do it.

Maybe Frey, but it sounds like he's ready to play this year, but Steltz? Absolutely not, he's a GREAT ST contributor. Now I realize that doesn't mean much to you, but if your are building your roster who is more valuable the player who will never be active or the ST contributor, who is maybe your top backup at the position, who will be active every game? Its a no brainer.

No, it means something to me and I get it. Ive grown up watching Chicago Bears defense and special teams solely winning games for us on a weekly basis. I know what it means to have the edge in special teams and how much it means to have a dominant special teams. Somehow, someway they will find a way to have Wilson on the 53. JMO. Agree to disagree

Supes, your list says 3 specialists (which I assume covers K, P, and LS). Are you including Hester in your 6 WR total?

I can't believe some of you aren't excited about Wilson. He clearly has a ton of talent and if he puts it all together - he might just be our second best receiver.

I get being skeptical and everything after the whole Marcus Monk ordeal a few years ago but Wilson actually has talent.

I'm curious if you even watched that first video before you posted it. He made one real nice catch, and had 7, yes 7 drops in just those 2 games. Are you missing Kellen Davis so much that you want another drop machine on the roster?

Yes, I watched it. I noticed the drops, but that's something that can be worked on. He is a talent that you just take a flier on especially in the 7th. So much upside. Back-to-back 1,000 yard seaisms in 2010 and 2011 and 813 this year before quitting. Can't hide from the fact that this kid did nothing but produce in college and had tremendous upside.
No it's not. I can teach you route concepts, I can teach you leverage in the passing game, I can teach you how to block on the edge, I can't teach you how to naturally and effortlessly catch the football. He was a good college WR, there were BETTER NFL WRs available when we drafted him. He's not better than any WR who played on the 53 last year, and he's not the special weapon that we've talked about adding a different dimension to our offense.

And who other than Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett are better than Wilson? Sorry, I'm not already claiming Joe Anderson to come out of the woodwork and give us something on offense, and I sure as hell am not taking Weems over him. We will carry 6 WRs: Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett, Anderson, Wilson, Weems.
Well Anderson and Weems are better football players, Wilson might be better than Devin Hester, but Hester is making the roster for sure, so I don't see a spot for him. You do realize how ridiculous it is for you to claim that Wilson is better than Anderson or Weems when he hasn't played a down of NFL football yet, right?
Weems has not done much with the Bears nor has Anderson. Neither is a lock vs Wilson. While Wilson has not played a play the other two played inconspicuously. It may boil down to "is he faster?"

I dont see him ever outperforming Jeffery.

Yes Hester is included in my 6 WRs, which is why I highly doubt Wilson will make the roster.

Weems and Anderson are both STs studs. Your 4th & 5th WRs both have to play STs. Wilson does not. We had this arguement about Dane Sanzenbacher last year, which ultimately I was proven right about. I'm not sure why everyone thinks this Wilson kid has any chance at all of making the roster. He's a 7th round pick w/ bad hands and he's not the burner everybody says we need. He's just a guy.
