Nobody should. I say we should have a little more faith in the training staff than this. Once they say the players are clear to play, they should play. There's no point in forcing them on to the PUP list, or even worse, sitting them for the year when the med staff says that they're healthy.

It really amazing how naive' some people are in this forum...they think they know everything...I dont think these guys have ever played a competitive sport in their life...its getting to the point of making me not even want to comment on anything...smug attitudes and comments make me sick ...open your mind and listen...this forum has gone down IMO over the last year because of certain posters in this forum that post on every single comment ..it really is ridiculous

Tell us how you really feel, chuck.

having an opinion contrary to popular belief is naive?

Surely, you dont know members well enough to know for a fact that they have or havent played competitive sports to make a comment as you did. again, what is the relevance to this post to the topic at hand? is this comment bettering the forum? I happen to think its one of the better forums on the web to talk Vikings football.

if you have issues with the direction of this forum, please make it private. there is no reason to call out members, just like you are attempting to do, especially if they have a disagreement with what you believe.

Just because people disagree with you doesn't make them ignorant. Chill

The more I look into Mauti, and I look past his injuries, I feel more and more that he is my favorite player we drafted. If he overcomes his knee ailments, he would have to be the steal of the draft. He is a prototypical, hard hitting, team leader. I hope the best for Mauti and I can't wait to watch his progress and career.

I know they play different positions, but I'm getting a John Randle vibe from Mauti.

I'm OK with that as long as it doesn't eventually lead to crawling on the Metrodome carpet like a dog and lifting a hind leg to ....

Seems like great bargain hunting by Spielman. If Mauti gets healthy and plays to his potential, we get the vocal leader / high character guy at MLB, lots of effort but maybe a little too slow in coverage to play in the nickel package -- more or less Teo Jr but without the imaginary girlfriend media circus and without using a 1st round pick.

This draft pick is making me consider getting a Vikings jersey.

You will love this kid. I guarantee it.

Mauti has signed.

In addition to fourth-round linebacker Gerald Hodges, the Minnesota Vikings announced the signing of seventh-rounders Michael Mauti and Everett Dawkins Tuesday.

Awesome video of Mauti....If this guy can recover from 2 ACL's I dont see why he couldnt recover from 3. Im really pushing for this guy. He has a motor like Jared Allen. Love it!!
