Going RB again might be odd, but Ware is a 3rd round talent that was severely underutilized at LSU due to their depth at the position. I love the player, but position is a head scratcher.

This is by far one of the oddest drafts I have ever seen as a Seahawk fan. I take away a few things from this draft and this pick; 1 we almost purely drafted BPA and 2 is Lynch's health in question?

Also a side note, how do we not draft one LB or OL???

EDIT: Well we just took a G out of vandy.

Probably a combo of lynch's health being suspect, and off field issues. dont forget he could be suspended 4 games this season for a DUI

Ware has played FB at LSU so maybe Michael Robinson's replacement since he is making 1.5M and Ware will make like 500k.

Not a bad point at all. He's certainly physical enough to take on that role, is a noticeable upgrade for us as a playmaking FB, and he doesn't have much tread on his tires because LSU did so much RB by committee.

This is Marshawn Lynch's last year. The writing is on the wall. I think this is part of the John Schneider plan to free up cap space for big signings. His 2014 Cap number is 7 million. 2015 number is 9 mil. They aren't going to ride him till the wheels fall of in other words.

Isnt Shawn's cap number in 2015 15mill? Really looks like Shawn and possibly Robsinson only have a year or 2 left here. Especially if Micheal turns out to be a star which he very well could.

I think Lynch is still a Seahawk for 2-3 more seasons but maybe i am wrong and he starts breaking down a lot sooner then that.

That could be true. I doubt it. I think they just evaluate him year by year and let him walk after 2016 at the latest. For now, Ware at FB makes a lot of sense.

What do you think of Wares potential as a lead blocker?

I think it his future. Ill put money on him being used as a FB in Sea, no way we draft him to play tail back having the 3 guys we do.

Well as a runner he comes with superb vision and the willingness to lower the boom in the hole. He has experience at FB which means he's familiar with it and the LSU coaching staff realized that he was able to do it effectively. I'd be lying if I said I've seen him do it, but I don't doubt that he can.

If this has anything to do with Mike-Rob leaving, i don't like it. He should retire a seahawk

With the way this team does business, I don't think we're going to see a lot of guys retire here. We are letting guys go before their talent deteriorates, not after. I won't be surprised at all if he's let go. It sucks some times as a fan, but it's what's best for the team.

It's different with Fullback's though, it's basically a specialist position nowadays. Mike Rob is an elite lead blocker in this league for marshawn, he should be here at least as long as lynch is
