With the 200th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select:

Well Ozzie certainly wasn't joking when he said he intended to build the middle of the defense.

I wonder of the Ravens will even address the WR position at all. Rogers is sitting there for the taking

Loved this guy at Notre Dame. Interesting how much we're building the D-line in the late rounds.

WTF is Ozzie doing now? We have way too many D-lineman. I bet this dude doesn't even make the roster.

He did tear his ACL in the championship game. Probably going to have a redshirt year

There's obviously a reason that 32 teams have left him sitting there for six rounds. Having said that, there were reasons that Vontaze Burfict went undrafted as well, and I think the Bengals would say they're happy with him.

I'd assume the intent would be to redshirt him either via IR or PUP. We have far more draft picks than roster spots. He was a captain a Notre Dame, and has excellent size for a five technique. I assume he would have gone several rounds earlier if not for the injury.

And I'm sure they'll say the same about Rogers once they get him. Laughing

Quite possibly. The Bengals do have a history of signing crazy WRs.

Anyway, if Kapron Lewis-Moore is being drafted with an ACL injury, I'm guessing he might get put on IR for the year, and get a chance to compete next year.

You saw the way we played the run last year, right?

We're giving ourselves depth here. Jones will be a FA next year, Ngata is getting older and has had some injury issues recently, Cody hasn't performed to the level anyone expected, Tyson is replaceable, and Canty/Spears are on short contracts.

Lewis-Moore may not make the final 53, but he will absolutely be a PS candidate.

I think Lewis-Moore will definitely be placed on IR for this season. We all know the team isn't afraid to do that with young players they want to keep. I like the pick quite a bit though. He wouldn't have lasted this late if it wasn't for his ACL injury in the National Championship game. Baltimore doesn't need him this season so he can sit out and get healthy.

And if he comes back and impresses next year, he might be able to just slide into a roster spot if Cody/Canty/Spears/Jones move on.

A front 3 of Ngata, Williams and Lewis-Moore would be... large.

Canty and Spears will still be under contract next season. Cody and Jones are unrestricted free agents though so there will definitely be some spots opening up on the DL. I wouldn't be surprised if Spears was let go after next season either. Canty not so much given the contract Baltimore have him (they don't tend to cut those guys so soon after signing them).
