Looks Stew just found his future replacement or we we will have a pair of Ducks in the backfield Laughing

Drafting Mike Goodson in the 4th didn't spell the end for anyone (well, except himself, eventually). Don't think this changes much, unless he plays out of his mind in training camp.

Stewie's new contract pretty much keeps him here for two years minimum, and even after that it'd be June 1st just to barely break even. He's Williams' replacement.

When we drafted Goodson we didn't have a 30 year old back making 8+ mil a year.

He waited his turn behind LaMichael James.....then balled out... he'll wait a year behind DeAngelo...

This kid is a superstar. 6th round? Eh?
KR/ maybe PR WR RB very flexible athlete with great speed in the open field. IMO this turns out to be the best pick we've made in years. DWilly will always be a favorite panther of mine, but his contract is just too much at 30yrs old....his replacement will now be groomed for a double duck panthers backfield 2014 and beyond.

Not a fan of the 4th rounder....
but

DT Star
DT Short
LB Klein
RB Barner

The vet DB's we picked up will surprise people.
Hell of a draft Gettleman Applause

I agree, he'll sit behind DWill for a year then explode with splitting carries with Stew

Good value pick. Williams could be gone after this year, and Kenjon Barner could be a stud; you never know with running backs.

I like this pick. Gives us the name recognition as well as a potential starter in the future.

Look at Alfred Morris, a 6th rounder who had one of the best seasons as a RB last year in the NFL. Now we can afford to trade DWill for a low return, but get his contract off the books, provided Barner pans out.

Barner is a speed back and will eventually replace D-Will

Easily the best back that was available at that point
