Patriots trade for LeGarrette Blount.

Not sure yet of the compensation...

Send Demps and the 278th pick to Tampa

Should make Gators fans happy.

Scuse me on 278th pick. Meant to say 7th round pick. 278 would be very late. Draft ends at 254

All things considered, not a bad haul.

Michael Smith's job is in jeopardy if Demps is serious about football.

Worth the risk, IMO. Demps speed is ridiculous.

Whether he contributes or not yet to be determined but he adds something we are short on and that's speed.

Couldn't think of a better ROI than Demps and a 7th for Blount.

I wouldn't have minded keeping Blount, really I wish we used him better last year. But if he wasn't going to play here, this is more helpful to the team.

How is Blount in short yard situations?

Also I hope Demps works out for you guys. Even though he's not a Patriot because he wants to do track still I hope he works out for you.

He dances and more often than not doesn't hit the hole.

He's shockingly bad at short yardage situations.

Blount is one of the best backs in the league when he gets past the DL, but he has a crazy hard time getting to that point. So you see the wild highlights when he does get to that level, but you miss out on all of the tackles for no gain because he needs a full head of steam to do anything.

To at the RoeKG already stated: He takes awhile to get going. He doesn't start with the great burst from the backfield. Has a lot of no gains and yard losses. Doesn't hit the hole quick enough.

Really, he's an inconsistent runner that's really limited in an offense. I'm not sure why the Pats made a deal for him. He really puts a tell to defenses when he's in the game that it's a run and in passing situations, well, Brady should not rely on him to pick up a blitz.

"Let's give it to LGB like its 2 yrs ago." I dont watch the Bucs enough but I thought he fell off. Its weird I know we didnt want Demps and McDaniels lost faith in Bolden. I guess they figured he could do more than a 7th rounder competition wise.

Thanks for the input.
