Cooper Taylor - S - Richmond

Quote:
STRENGTHS: Plays with excellent aggression and physicality. Decisive in his decision making and shows a good burst, arriving to the play quickly and ready to blow up the ballcarrier. Better than expected athleticism for his size, and flows to the action while breaking down on the move. Good footwork and can close quickly on plays in front of him. Has the size and range to be an enforcer against both the run and the pass, but has also impressed with his instincts and football awareness. Did an excellent job at the Shrine Game of digesting the coaches' instructions and applying them immediately, always appearing focused and zoned in on what is going on around him.
WEAKNESSES: Lacks elite top-end speed for the position. Plays too upright at times. History of injuries, in addition to the medical condition that will require extensive evaluation before NFL teams feel comfortable drafting him.

Might play LB for us. 230 LBs already and runs a 4.49. Who at CB would've been really good for us at this point anyway. At least we can get an athletic freak and take a shot here.

Those #s are insane. Perfect kind of 5th round pick.

Let me give you my personal opinion, on what I think has happened.
It all started with the release of the coke machine in Brandon Jacobs.

Baccari Rambo would of been a better pick

If LB is where he is gonna play why not just draft chase Thomas or holloman?

I think this is a reach cause we traded our 6th rounder. Interesting to see what this guy can do

Good point that'd make a lot of sense. After looking at those #'s he's worth a flyer

One thing I know is that this guy will be a special teams beast. He's big, runs fast and seems to like to hit.

I wanted Ray Ray Armstrong, but this guy is similar in size and speed, so I'll take it.

Absolutely dig the pick, he wasn't big on my radar but I really felt that we needed to add another safety and with his size speed combination, it makes him a Reese favorite. Impact player on special teams, and a guy that can play both safeties in the Giants system.

Missed out on the Tassib pick, but this didn't surprise me at all. Had the Giants taking a quarterback in my last mock. Value was simply too good to pass up.

Loving this draft.
