depth pick. his versatility makes me like the pick a little better but we still desperately need cb and safety

I believe WR/S are our biggest needs right now. Another year going into the season knowing we have not found a replacement for Smitty upsets me

Panthers were gonna find it in the 5th round?

I really like this pick. I like it from a depth to potential starter stand point. Beason's health, and Blackburn's on a 2 year deal. I think this guy can come in and be a boss on sp teams and be a capable backup to Keek in his first year and maybe move to outside next year. God I hate Beason's contract soo much.... It'd be kinda like what happened with James Anderson. He was backup for three years before he became a starter.

Smart pick considering our fragile LB situation besides Kuechly.

You can't just pick a position just because you say we have to have one. You pick BPA!

This probably makes Beason expendable next year. TD won't last much longer either. Hate to say it, but we can't continue to gamble on their health.

I doubt a fifth round pick makes Beason expendable. Same goes for TD.

I'm not saying we will do it this year. Does us no good this year. Next year we will probably draft yet another LB to help fill the void even more. Every move Gettleman has done so far has been to better our cap situation. For that reason I think Beason and D-Will will be high priority next year. Whether it be cut/trade/restructure and I kinda like him for that.
