6' 204lbs 4.48 40 yard dash

Patton won first-team all-conference accolades in his first year in Ruston (which is located in north central Louisiana) after catching 79 passes for 1,202 yards and 11 scores. His efforts against San Jose State (five catches, 116 yards, one touchdown) and Nevada (7-162, TD) were instrumental in the Bulldogs’ winning their league championship. It was no surprise Patton contributed right away, as several FBS programs had interest in his services coming out of Coffeyville Community College. Not only was he an all-conference receiver as a redshirt sophomore in Junior College in 2010 (687 receiving yards, four TDs), but he also received honors as a punter (39.8 yards per attempt)

I think he can make the team, which at this point is what matters.

I'm probably the only one who won't be enamoured with the pick. Here's our fifth receiver of the future.

Incredible value at this spot. And I like what I read about him. We need WRs who can get open and who can catch. Sounds like he has a nice set of hands and good shifty moves along with great route runninng. Sounds good to me.

STEAL again for the #49ers in getting Quinton Patton. Now that's just silly. They got four guys in our Top 30 in this draft.

Patton was #15 on the big board on this site Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked .

On the NFL.com website, they have him compared to Reggie Wayne.

Another A grade for this one. I had Patton as a late 2nd rounder. He doesn't have blazing speed or incredible measurables, but he is good at everything you want a WR to be good at.

Preferred Ryan Swope who is still available (wonder if it is due to concussion history), but Patton is intriguing.

Really wanted Wheaton, but Pitts drafted him--probably to make him their next 'Mike Wallace'. Crying or Very sad

Patton could end up being our #2 receiver in 2014. hold on wait hear me out...Crabs is #1 but then after that Boldin, Manningham, and Kyle Williams are all free agents. Patton will have the opportunity to demonstrate what he can do early this year in the preseason and first couple weeks with Manningham and Williams coming off an injury.

Absolutely, and lets see how Jenkins develops next season as well. Not only that, but according to Jim Harbaugh, we may have something with Ricardo Lockette.

Just read that Jonathan Banks said Patton was the best receiver he ever played against, including all those SEC receivers he went up againnst.
