With the 112th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders select....

Tyler Wilson, QB Arkansas

Lets start the new QB controversy, righttttt.....meow

personally I love Wilson, and I think this spells the end for Pryor (sorry NCOUGH) He's a very tough guy, who suffered from a very poor oline, questionable play calling and tons of WR dops. He has the arm to make every throw, although he may trust it a little too much at times. Sneaky mobility and a good leader.

At worse we have a back up QB, which is very important to have. He has the potential to be a franchise QB after learning for a year or two, and if Flynn bombs out, we have an insurance policy. The battle for back up QB should be interesting between he and Pryor, but I don't see Pryor beating him out, I wish he would just switch to WR/TE/H Back where his athleticism can be utilized.

What are your thoughts on our new QB situation?

I like it a lot. After Geno, he was the only other QB I really liked who had a strong arm. Which is good with our speedsters. Can't wait to watch him develop.

Someone post some highlight videos and interviews!

Move Pryor to TE. Or trade for 5th.

He needs to clean up his delivery big time. He has talent, but unless that gets fixed, he won't see the field. Thankfully he's a 4th round pick, so he'll have time to develop.

Here is a write up on him:

Quote:
Doesn't own a true howitzer but possesses plenty of arm strength to make every NFL throw. Can fire the deep-out from the opposite hash and is especially impressive with his velocity on intermediate in-breaking routes. Throws a tight spiral with good accuracy when he sets his feet. Shows good understanding of the offense and will check down to secondary targets when his first receiver is blanketed.

I'm thrilled about this pick. Here is a guy that was a first rounder after his Junior year, has all the physical tools, and with a couple seasons as a backup, has a real chance of being a good NFL QB. This is a low risk move that gives us somebody to groom for the future while still allowing us to look for a QB early next year if one is available.

Of course Dilfer takes a dookie all over the pick. God I hate that guy.

Reminds me of Phillip Rivers. (Before I saw the CBS write up I thought that lol)

Don't understand the point of getting a 3rd backup QB when we have glaring needs at RE, FS, TE

He only showed low lights of him and basically said he couldn't throw downfield. Called him tough though.

The more I read about him, the more I think Brett Favre.

Ironic in that Dilfer was just the worst QB ever to garner significant playing time. His call to fame was his ability to not mess up so his defense could win for him. Like a Jason Campbell with a paralyzed throwing arm.
