Finally the Dolphins have addressed depth. Nearly every position has either a quality backup, or a young player with potential.

I still want to see the Dolphins address the following in draft/FA:

QB- I want Matt Barkley
RB- I like Miller, but who else is there?
WR- Without Bess there is room for 1-2 WR
TE- Who can block? Get me Dion Sims or Toilolo
OT- Ideally the Dolphins find a young OT today and then sign Eric Winston.
MLB- Spitler is quality ST, but I don't really want him ever on the field on defense.

I wouldn't mind Barkley in the 4th....that would be fantastic value...

Quinton PAtton is still available and is one of those guys who can line up at all the WR positions

Several Tackles available (I like the kid out of Ohio State)

Lattimore and Cierre Wood are still on the board

Its going to be a fun day 3....

I'd probably prefer this myself:

DE: Cameron Wake/Derrick Shelby
DT: Randy Starks/ Jared Odrick / Vaughn Martin
DT: Paul Soliai/Kheeston Randall/Chas Alecxih
DE: Dion Jordan/Olivier Vernon
OLB: Phillip Wheeler/Jason Trusnik
MLB:Dannell Ellerbe/Austin Spitler

Not only do I prefer that, but I think that's how the Front Office prefers it too.

I don't think they do. Watch Jordan on film and he plays his best when he is on the move. I think for him to have the biggest impact as a rookie is as an OLB.

I think he plays up on most downs, but puts his hand in the dirt on passing downs....he is a guy who could end up with sacks and a few picks.....they wanted a playmaker and they got one.

By the way he has arrived at the Dolphins facility

This season if he can get 7 sacks or more I'll be content.

That and draw attention away from Wake...It is going to be fun to see what Coyle does with him...

WOLB: Cameron Wake/Olivier Vernon/Derrick Shelby
DE: Randy Starks/Kheeston Randall
NT: Paul Soliai/Vaughn Martin
DE: Jared Odrick/Chas Alecxih
MLB: Phillip Wheeler/Jason Trusnik
MLB:Dannell Ellerbe/Austin Spitler
SOLB: Dion Jordan/Koa Misi/Josh Kaddu

I actually think this makes the most sense...

Most sites have Dion Jordan as DE across from Wake, not at OLB. But I guess we'll see.

Switching back to the 3-4 the year after switching to the 4-3? Laughing

That'd be funny. Not sure how I'd feel about that, though. Wake seemed to do much better at his native 4-3 DE position than at 3-4 OLB. But if its better for Jordan, I suppose it could work.

Switched because so many disagreed.

Holy depth. I love it.

With so much depth and versatility, we can basically run both defenses if we wanted to.
