Is the Thursday/Friday draft stupid?
Yes, they should change it back, they are ruining Christmas!

This is exhausting. Am I the only one who hates this draft format? Who you guys got today? Any thoughts on packaging our 4, 5 or (2) 6 to move up and get a guy? Still need a linebacker who can run.

I liked the Saturday/Sunday format better too, but they get way more ratings this way,. Can't blame them for that.

QB in the 5th,

OT, WR in the 6th

CB, LB in the 7th

I don't like this format at all. But I hate playoff baseball starting at 9:30 and am not a fan of Thursday night football either.

I am very happy that we are grabbing guys that will have a year to get acclimated to the game while Pittsburg's draft board is full of guys they need to step in this year.

Porter was a great pick, my favorite selection we've made in this draft. He's versatile can play SAM or WILL for us and he was supposed to be the next Von Miller at A&M. Didn't test that well but on the field he flies, excellent closing speed, great burst and fluid hips. With that said he's not a pure coverage linebacker, he's at his best when asked to blitz off the edge. And he does get washed out in the run game but the potential and versatility is there. As a sub package/nickel guy we can do a lot of things with him.

I really like him too. Go watch him vs. Alabama, he beats Warmack with a clean club at one point. Super athletic toy for Zim to go to work with. I think i see him at the WILL TBH. We have too much traffic at the SLB spot with Harrison, Moch, Joiner, Maybin. Behind Burfict, we just have Lamur.

I agree. The great thing is he can play at either spot, I expect us to use him at both. Really talented player, if you go watch him in 2011 when he was used as a pass rusher/3-4 OLB he thrived - showed big time burst and natural ability as a pass rusher.

Really hoping we take Josh Evans out of Florida with our upcoming pick. Had the same grade I had on Matt Elam (early third round) on Evans, and Evans was a perfect compliment to Elam. Great range, played in single high at times with good success, and he's got quick feet.

Like Tanner Hawkinson, had a fourth round grade on him he's a four year starter with quick feet who can be a solid swing tackle in the NFL. Really good balance, I think he has left tackle potential. With that said give me Fragel and Quessenberry over him.
