Two Zach Browns on the field at the same time sounds ballin'.

Having said that, I'd have preferred a DE.

I'm starting to think we may go 44 defense think about it. The nfl is starting to use multiple TE sets. It's starting to be a no need for an inbox safety because most inbox safety's aren't as fast or aren't as big as these TEs.
So if you can find a LB with great size & speed & one that can cover, you may do your self better match up wise

This pick makes Ayers a DE on passing downs.

And for us, that's a very good thing.

Could be better, but I don't mind.

Could also be a sign that they'll use him + Brown on passing downs, with Ayers rushing the passer.

I like how you think.

I think what this pick really means, and what I think a few people (including Paul Kuharsky apparently) is that the Titans are very likely simply abandoning the classic roles of the three linebackers in the traditional 4-3. Yes, when we have McCarthy, Brown and Ayers on the field, they will likely play the mike, weak and strongside, but we're going to see a hell of a lot of different looks this year.

I mean, this thought that Brown and Gooden may be too similar is a bit crazy, considering just how good Brown looked over the last 10 games or so last year. The fact is, we're going to be having some 3-4 looks, some 3-3-5 looks as well as some classic 4-2-5 nickel looks. Having plenty of speed at linebacker, particularly when Ayers kicks to defensive end, frees up our pass rush and gives us even more opportunities for creative defensive playcalling.

I am genuinely excited to see what this team looks like when the regular season rolls around. With the additions on offense and the potential of different looks on defense, we should, at the very least, be a fun team to watch.

I think you're right..

We already know with Gregg Williams, we're going to be pretty aggressive, but I think this is proof in the pudding how aggressive they may become...

Not only will they use Ayers on DE sometimes to rush the passer on passing downs, but you have two LB's who run 4.4's....

Expect to see Dual Blitzes sometimes

Will be interesting to see how he fits in. Don't really think any d linemen left will be real difference makers, especially early. Hopefully this kid can get going early so Ayers can step up on the pass rush
