I agree, but it seems like a few teams after the Eagles wanted him as well. Browns called him or was on the phone with him, Cowboys was suppose to really like him.

If he can play NT 0/1 tech or 1/5 tech and do it well.

Teams wanted Danny Watkins as well...

Your point is bust happens?

A bust is one thing, but some players like Danny Watkins were easy to see were not worthy of being a 1st round pick. Some teams just don't know what the hell they are doing. So we can't justify a move that the Eagles made by saying that two losing organizations like the current Cowboys and Browns wanted to make the same move. If the 49ers, Ravens or Seahawks wanted to make the same move then perhaps I would value their evaluation.

Well we have a former major front office guy from San Francisco, so maybe you should value the opinion.

People will truly say anything.
We have a CAP specialist from the 49'ers front office.

False

Trent Baalke is the guy in San Fran. He's the only guy. The guy runs the draft like a dictator and rightfully so, he's the best GM in all of football by a lot.

That doesn't make tom gamble less qualified at anything at all.

Since it applies and he can't be any further off base might as well repost this from another thread.

Not quite the GM but most in Eagle nation are ecstatic we were able to get Tom Gamble away from the 49ers. Should be interesting to see how much of his influence will be all over the Eagles 2013 draft?

No idea who he is. I kinda figured stuff like this would happen once Andy left. I was wrong.

So you admit you don't know who he is and now you're saying it's a bad pick?

BTW, if you don't know who Benny Logan is then you obviously didn't watch a lot of SEC football.

Chip Kelly called Benny Logan with their pick and asked him "Do you know who has the next pick in the NFL draft?"

Logan answered: "Uhh, the Oakland Raiders?"

Chip says: "No, guess again. Are you watching the NFL draft?"

Laughing Laughing Laughing (check Benny in the studio with Trolldaro)

Bennie has really grown on me. Glad we ended up taking him here instead of Brandon or Jessie Williams.

Jessie Williams was the most over rated player in the draft. So glad we didn't pick him.

Would have preferred Brandon Williams. He's going to be a beast. But Bennie is better than Jesse.

I hope Bennie can be something down the road. He looks fairly inconsistent in college but even against Warmack he didn't look outclassed the whole time. One of the little things I like is that he quickly recognizes if he won't be getting to the QB and moves to fill a passing lane and gets his hand up. He seems to tip a few balls each game.

Can't wait to see how they use him. Looks like he could put on some weight and be a NT but he also has the athleticism to be a DE.

Just looking into things he's very similar to Brandon Mebane physically and athletically.
