When healthy, Texas A&M running back Christine Michael can be a special talent. Unfortunately, injuries plagued his collegiate career and he must prove to NFL decision-makers that he can rebound.
Michael saw limited action as a senior because of problems with his head coach. As a sophomore, he broken his right leg and in his junior season, he tore his ACL. Fumbled often and battled with those issues at the Shrine Game.

Runs very hard to the point where he can be reckless with his body, especially during collisions. Has a really nice cut and jump-cut. Can evade defenders in the backfield and find daylight. Hits the hole hard and has a definite knack for finding cut-back angles. Excellent anticipation and vision. Great leverage and lateral movement skills.

Limited experience as a pass catcher. Will probably begin his career as a two-down option in a backup/reserve role. Pass protection is average at best.

I applaud us for ignoring need and just taking the best player left on our board. Michael is a no-doubt talent, but I don't know how he fits here. Wish we took someone else, but Michael is going to be nice.

could we be planning to trade turbin or something?
we certainly aren't going to trade lynch
and we aren't going to pick up a specialist to be just a returner in the 2nd round
only thing i can think of....

Don't fret guys... remember what happened last time we took a "high-risk high-reward" guy early in the draft? Cool

I get going BPA and its a very very nice idea, but there are 2 positions that we had no business taking with that pick.... QB...and RB. Stupid pick.

KEENAN ALLEN SHOULD BE A HAWK!!!

I love the talent and value, but I really question how he fits here. He is not very versatile so he wont get much playing time outside of RB. With Lynch and Turbin, I really don't know he he is ever going to see the field.

I like the pick. Would have preferred Warford, but Michael is a first round talent.

3 things here

1) Marshawn Lynch has about 2, maybe 3 seasons of true BEASTMODE left. This is a future move that we will, hopefully, love down the road

2) We are an injury away from Seeing robert turbin and_______try to carry our heavy rush load

3) Robert Turbin is a great receiver out of the back field and a good third down back, making this pick possible. Michael Is a good 1-2 punch player down the road

A 330lbs OG doesn't really fit our system. I know hes quick for a guy that size but I doubt he could work in a ZBS.

I could see Marshawn gone sooner than later if Christine shows that he can be impressive. I expect the offense to shift more responsibility to Russell Wilson over time such that the RB won't be such a focus for the team.

I like the pick. BPA and this kid looks like he can thrive in the Hawks scheme.

I agree completely. Refer to the Cleveland Browns (2011) game to show why this team needs a starting RB on the roster.

The only way this makes sense is if Shawn is gone after next season or the year after at the latest. He needs to be the starter within 2 years and save us a ton of cash for this to be worth it.

Not necessarily. Christine is 22 and he can always get limited carries to keep Marshawn more fresh or give him a week or 2 off to get over an injury.

You can find a productive running back in essentially any draft, in any round, if not in FA or at home. Good backs are a dime a dozen. Was drafting one now necessary, considering the talent already at the position(Lynch, Turbin, Harvin)? I don't know.
