Yes he did, but from what I can tell he played much better after that game. They said he lost his fundamentals in that game and vs Tenn. he lost his focus and was letting Wrs go to soon in the zone rather than running with them in the zone.

I guess we shall see. I think he's learned since then and I like I said, he very well could be a FS not a Cb.

Redskins told Amerson on the phone he'll be playing CB. I like the pick, he's got a lot of upside.

oh ok. Thanks McKnight.

Kinda odd that they had that discussion before he even practiced though, don't you think?

The same thing happened when we drafted Jarvis Jenkins. People thought he'd be a NT, but the team told him on draft day that he'd play DE. He's played DE for us.

Oh ok. Well just for the record, I always thought Jarvis Jenkins would play DE. Wink

Thanks for the insight Mknight

Haha, I actually still think Jenkins would make a better NT. He's great at eating up blockers, not so much at getting pressure. But the coaches disagree, and I don't think they care about my opinion.

in the 3-4 Scheme, that's the job of the DE.

I think when Cofield is gone, we very well could see Jenkins slide over and play NT now is not the time though.

I wanted him as a Steeler Evil or Very Mad Well, I like your team also, in a way. I feel y'all should draft an ILB to replace Fletcher. Someone who can also cover.

i didn't know you liked the Redskins also armsteeld?

That's cool. You're like the opposite of me.

My favorite team is the Redskins but I also like the steelers.

Well the Steelers had a great draft also. As I think I said in the Steelers forum us in the Redskins forum loved Markus Wheaton as a prospect. We
Wanted him both times in FFMD.

He's one heck of a wr.

Except they're the embodiment of differnet players.

Scrabble is a guy who can only get on top of you and man handle you, Ammerson can't do that. He's strictly an off coverage ball hawk. He's strong, I think, but he doesn't over-whelm people.

You compared him to Nnamdi. If he's using his arms, then he's gotta be on them. Those arms are pretty much only used to go get the ball.

I don't think there is any harm in comparing a player to another. No one is saying Amerson is going to be Nnamdi, we are just saying he's built like him or some scouts have said he looks like Nnamdi at times especially with his build. Which is true, he's built like him and in that way Amerson has the same characteristics.

I'd love for Amerson to turn out to be 1/2 the Cb Nnamdi was when he was in Oakland.

If Amerson focuses on his technique, doesnt bite on fakes, keeps his eyes out of the backfield and doesn't pass off wrs to the safeties too soon in the zone(which were his problems last year) he could be that kind of player.

Amersons problems last year were mostly mental. That can be corrected with coaching. He doesn't really have any physical limitations that I know about.

if someone says to me that player has "Michael turner legs" i think he must have legs like tree trunks.
If he says to me "that guy has Durant arms" I instantly think he must have long arms not he must shoot well. thats just me.
If he said that "he has a Pennington arm" I think to myself "the guy must have a weak arm" not he's about to throw for 300 yards

but i see how that could be confusing to some. I just wanted to emphasize Amerson's frame and his potential for success if he follows his role in Raheem's vision for the secondary
