So he'll start off as a DE in our 4 man Nickel packages, ala Aldon (my guess).

Will he grow into a 3-4 OLB, or 3-4 DE in the future? Potential Justin replacement?

Loving our draft thus far. If we can snag up Kelce with our next pick, it'd be my ideal scenario.

Seriously you guys. Think about that. The 49ers turned their backup quarterback into Tank Carradine and a 2014 3rd rounder.

Alex, for the 100th time, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

That's the only thing that confuses me with this pick. He's 276. He either needs to lose 15 pounds or gain 15 pounds. I don't honestly know which way they'll go with it.

But...with addition of Dorsey (who played in 3-4, but is best suited to 4-3 DT) we could see more 4-3 in SF

No way is Carradine a 3-4 DE...not a 290 lbs player...edge pass rusher

@WilliamsonNFL he can line up there in a pinch tho, but yea edge rush is his forte.

I will say that we're not much of a 3-4 defense anymore. I think the Nickel is basically our base defense. So even if he's just a 4-3 DE, thats fine. As long as he can terrorize the QB.
