I just think its funny that were talking about his catch radius and he happens to be the guy they chose for the sports science catch radius segment.

Can't believe you guys are having a discussion with PE.

Just realized he is making Ertz into the next Brandon Graham. Someone hurry and post a T-rex with Ertz's head on it! For someone who complained that our forum needed to leave him alone about ARM jokes he sure as hell uses it as a negative every chance he gets when attempting to make a point.

Jay don't hold your breath on PE proving ARM lengths from his vast data base of knowledge unless it coincides with his opinion. We all "most in FF Forum" are still waiting for him to provide his link from his Brandon Graham/T-rex thread a few months ago.

I'm not holding out any hope, don't worry.

Fact of the matter is, there are plenty TE's in the league past and present that have enjoyed success that are/were lesser athletes than Ertz. Heather Miller and Brandon Pettigrew immediately come to mind. I just don't understand why some people think that in order for a TE to be successful that they have to be built like Jimmy Graham and have the athletic ability of Vernon Davis.

Kind of an unexpected pick based on Ertz's position, but not so surprising because he comes from the Pac 12. This was one of my favorite picks from out 2013 draft. Ertz adds yet another playmaker to our offense. He's great redzone weapon and that is something our offense has lacked throughout the past couple of years.

It will be interesting to see how Kelly splits playing time between: Celek, Casey and Ertz.

I think all three have a legit chance at seeing more playing time on the field barring injury to Desean/Maclin then the eagles #4 WR who ever that is? I see a lot of 2 TE packages and multiple 3 TE sets utilizing Casey out of the backfield more so then 4 WR sets in the future. Either max protect and utilize the speed/Versatility the TE's have on LB or pound the hell out of the the nickle/dime CB's if they go small with the run game . Should be fun to watch instead of the typical 7 step drop ,chuck it 60 yards til you drop BS Marty the Moron called every 3rd play.

I think we will definitely see Ertz split out wide and in the slot quite often like he was used at Stanford.

Can't wait for trips formations with Ertz, Casey/Celek, and DeSean/Maclin Shocked

I can't wait to see him in the slot or out wide just to block on a running play. The DB has to respect the fact that Ertz can be there for a passing play, and Ertz will manhandle most CBs on running plays.
