I like it, we had no one behind Celek.

I really like Ertz. He is a great fit in Chip's spread offense and he will be a valuable threat up the middle of the field. He gives us a big red zone threat, and I think this points to Foles starting this year a little bit.

I hope you're right about Foles. Conventional spread over the option please.

I just had one of those lightbulb moments like I think I figured out what Chip is up to. Has to be a reason they're still looking at TEs with 3 starter-caliber TEs already on the roster. Still a wild guess, but I think he wants an offense built around polar extremes -- 1 or 2 lightning fast WRs with 1 lightning fast RB ... complemented by 3 or 4 versatile giants at FB/TE/WR. Stunt the secondary, overpower the line, fear the Shady.... then play action.

The idea being to perpetually keep secondaries from blitzing and completely out of the run game by fearing DJax/Mac over the top. Then overpowering defensive fronts by sheer brute force with huge, athletic, versatile slots/TEs (as many as 3 TEs lined up at once) ... which would plow so many lanes for Shady that defenses would have to overcommit the run every down! ... which sets up the perfect scenario for a play action that releases 2 or 3 of those TEs.

It's basically like what the Patriots have been doing, except on steroids... because New England doesn't have a DeSean, or a Maclin, or a Shady. Those guys are really the key IMO, because you'd have to keep the secondaries from cheating up to stop the run, and also keep defensive fronts from thinking they can both rush the QB while staying capable of either containing the run or covering 2 to 3 quick TEs running routes.

I'm using quotes on this because I stole it from a friend who said it about a month ago. I think maybe now it has some validity.

Don't quite get a TE pick here but a lot of you seem to be on board with it and seeing as I've been out of the loop ill go with it

I like it, offense is gonna be basically unstoppable regardless of who is QB. So many weapons, my goodness. Foles at the helm in the pats-esque offense, ftw.

This is what Andy could never do. Stockpile weapons. The whole time we had McNabb in his prime we should have been stockpiling weapons.

We are always good between the 20s anyway..... these are just the extra tools in the red zone.

Witten can block and play in-line

He's more Dallas Clark than Witten.
