CB Josh Wilson's new base salary is $2M, down from $3.9M, according to a league source. #Redskins now have $2.03M in cap room.

There's your room for draft picks

Or maybe create some room for Jammer

Yay! Great to hear this. It could be for the draft picks, or it could be so the team can sign Quinten Jammer...

Zack Boyer has a story out on it also.

Seems like its just a straight pay cut but he can make up the $ through reaching incentives.

Quote:
With the restructure, he’ll make a base salary of just $2 million and can make up to $1.3 million more through bonuses. He did not sign a contract extension.

Jeezy, do you know if Josh Wilson just took a straight up pay cut or if he restructured and got more years added on his deal?

According to Rotoworld 1.3 Million was turned into a Bonus rest was a paycut.

From the tweets I'm reading sounds like a straight cut. Speculation is if he didn't take a paycut he was getting cut and probably wouldn't have gotten 4M at this point in the offseason.

Yeah I just found that also. This is good news that I've wanted the team to do for a while to sign another DB like Winfield, Woodson, Jammer, Thodes, Lynch etc, etc.

It seems they are doing this to be able to sign their Draft picks though as you said Jeezy. That's good also. I'm glad
