If Barkley falls to 83, anyone think we consider him?

No need for OT with Smith locked in. Much bigger needs.

3 yr contract that means we better get someone to play the next 2 yrs, our line is good but thin.

We don't have the luxury to draft for three years down the road

The more I think about it, I can't believe we took Hunt over Swearinger.

Especially bc okefor and Moore can both be available in the 3rd. Drives me nuts

I have Moore as a third rounder, Okafor a fifth/sixth rounder and Hunt a third rounder - don't like any of them. Moore is an undersized d-end without great bend and flexibility who has mediocre straight line speed. Does time the snap well, does play with great effort. But Okafor is someone I strongly dislike. Don't think he goes till round six or seven if at all. Slow, very tight hipped stiff player, doesn't change directions well, mediocre athletically doesn't have explosive burst or big time top end speed.

Swearinger should've been the pick. I know Marvin doesn't value safety highly but c'mon, that was incredible value and he was the perfect fit for what we wanna do.

Not to be pessimistic but I'm not a big fan of either of these picks. Gio Bernard benefitted a lot from the great offensive line in front of him. He doesn't show me elite burst, I actually think he's kinda stiff as a runner and I had a fourth round grade on him, and he doesn't flash a ton of elusiveness. I think he's overrated, had a fourth round grade on him. With that said he is a good COP back because his feet are good, soft hands and does show me good balance. So I think it's not awful, but I'd seriously prefer someone like Lacy.

Hunt was a reach - third round player becuase he's so raw. Doesn't show great leverage, gets put on skates a lot and actually isn't great against the run - gets stonewalled more than I'd like. With that said he fits the mold of what we like out of our DE's and I do think he'll be successful. He's already 25, not a fan of that.

The Bernard and Hunt picks are not ones I'm a big fan of but I do think they are decent. Just feel like we could've gotten better value. Give me Andre Ellington or Dennis Johnson later in the draft to provide very similar traits that Bernard brings. Give me Malliciah Goodman or William Gholston later in the draft to bring some of what Hunt does. We could've had Swearinger, could've had Lacy. That's my #1 issue with the selections.
