My top 10 available according to Dolphins need:

Menelik Watson
Zach Ertz

Jonathan Franklin

Barrett Jones
Jonathan Cyprien
Tyrann Mathieu
David Bakhtiari
Brian Schwenke

Damn, these two keep slipping my mind (how do the Cowboys not get Jones if they needed a center?) I like both....a lot.

Frederick is not a very good football player. I was blown away, by far the worst pick in the 1st round, worse than EJ Manuel.

Draft best player available.

Best case scenario, the Chiefs panic and agree to trade Albert to us for our highest 3rd. Worst case scenario, we sign Winton in free agency and run with Martin at LT. Either way, not a bad position to be in.

Not to stir the pot. I would be pissed if we didn't get at minimum a 2nd round pick for Albert. I would still like to see what we can do to sign him long term, sure we just took Fisher, but you can NEVER have too many good offensive linemen.

I would caution getting too comfortable with Winston as your RT. He was arguably the worst offensive lineman on our team last year, and that includes players who were forced to play out of position. Could he return to his Texans' form? Maybe. But it is a big risk, hinging your season (and your franchise QB) on a player who couldn't shine on a 2-14 team.

What I would have done.
1) Fisher, 3a) Keenan Allen, 3b) Shamarko Thomas, 4) Nico Johnson, 5) Stepfan Taylor, 6a) Nick Kasa, 6b) Taylor Bray, 7) Joe Kruger

I think you trade for Albert and you forced the Chiefs hand beautifully by trading away 42 which they wanted. Now if they want to trade Albert they have to take what you have left.

I posted in the wrong thread yesterday, but I'd love if we could get our hands on Menelik Watson, if you know what I mean. Doubt he'll be there but if he is, go for it Ireland.

So many OTs went in the first round, that I'm worried - the likelihood that we'll have a worthy one by the time we come to pick must be slim. Hard to see Watson still being there by the time we select, for example, and it's not something I'd be prepared to gamble on in any event.

For that reason, I think we do the Albert trade - although presumably it would have been done and announced by now if it were likely.

If Eddie Lacy falls I fully expect Ireland to pull the trigger on him at #52.

I was just watching film on Jonathan Martin from college, and it took me a minute to realize he was matched up on Dion Jordan. Laughing
