Raw
Low Wonderlic
Limited College Experience
Poor Route Runner
Questionable Hands

Also plays position with depth and value. Probably could have got similar player at 52.

@TomPelissero

Spielman: Patterson can do "just as much and more than Percy can as a returner." Hoo boy.

Glad we traded all of that for a returner Wink

Laughing Well, lets see how the draft goes. If more teams pick like the cowboys, who knows who is there in the 4th lol

I dont get whats not too like. Worst case, you throw Patterson bubble screens half the time like Percy Harvin. Patterson is very similar to Harvin in terms of YAC ability and pure athleticism and explosiveness.

Unlike Harvin, Patterson is the prototype at 6-2 210 pounds with 4.4 speed. Sure he is raw, but Patterson has shown to be able to produce down field.

I think pairing Patterson with Jennings is a perfect match. MN has a potentially explosive trio in Jennings, Patterson and Simpson.

What's not to like is the fact that he's a certifiable moron.

All the physical tools in the world, but a .02 head.

Patterson is a one of a kind player this year. There isnt a similar player at 52. AT 52, youre looking at the "polished college player" type like Woods.

If you want a boom type pick, Patterson is your guy.

I think he will do well in MN, and at least be as capable as Harvin as a gadget type weapon.

I absolutely love this move. It was a lot of picks to give up, but Patterson is considered by many to be the best receiver in the draft. It's a bit of a risk, but you have to take some chances if you want to go places. As the old saying goes: "If you want to sail big ships, you have to go where the water is deep."

This draft could be the best one the Vikings have had in decades.

Based on a wonderlic and going to a JUCO?

He is a football player, as long as he is smart enough to stay out of trouble, who cares. WR isnt a terribly complex position to pick up either, from a mental standpoint.

We can pray that Jennings is a really good teacher Very Happy lol

It sounded like they really liked him, so I imagine they have a plan to get around his set backs.

That's where you are absolutely wrong. Wide receiver is an incredibly complex position. Why do you think it takes so long for most receivers to transition to the NFL?
