Love the pick. I was on the Hopkins train since he declared for the draft. He has very good hands and is a very nice route runner. Good pick Rick Smith!

there is a good video on him. Shows his consistency, his great hands and superb route running. He lacks top athleticism (good athlete not great though) but is a great run blocker. Will fit in nicely in Houston.

Overall A- from me, even considering Patterson on the board Wink

Good take. I like the video.

I like the pick. I, too, was in favor of Hopkins early. Now I'm just really hoping he learns how to use the bathroom in the toilet before he gets here.

They showed him at his home with his family. He had the Texans draft cap on. ESPN only showed him for like 10 seconds.

My official take: Hopkins is a higher ceiling version of what we all liked about Mohammed Sanu.

Love the pick. He will be a great complement to Andre and will eventually take over as our number 1 receiver with Posey as WR2.

Hahahahahahah I know why we picked him. Dennisions quote on Hopkins, "He'll catch anything within his zip code." Because we all know our QB...

Probably not too far off; Schaub is accurate in the sense that he can get the ball in a guy's vicinity but he has a really bad habit of hitting wide open guys below their knees.

Where is the love for Rick Smith in the media? How many freaking teams leave a hole like we have at #2 WR and end up with the guy likely #1 on our board with the 27th pick (Kubiak wouldn't know what to do with Austin). The lack of quality pass rushers in this draft would have had us reaching badly for someone like Okafor, but Rick had the foresight to stash Mercilus who was great value last year.

Generally regarded as one of the most accurate Qbs in the Nfl and numbers have played it out his entire career. 2nd highest comp % in college football history when he came out. Jacoby couldn't run the same route twice, Walter hasnt been able to get open against single coverage in 3 years, Martin can't catch, Jean can't separate. Bryant Johnson? Mason? Anderson? Has spent his entire Texans career forcing the ball into double coverage on AJ. So glad we're not saddling him with Cordarrelle or Hunter who will show flashes, but will take years to develop. Here's hoping we also add a deep threat and maybe finally dispel all the myths about the most disrespected Pro Bowl Qb around.
