Frazier said that he will have an MRI today on left knee. Floyd was more sore today than yesterday. Still no concern that the injury is serious.

Something to consider especially considering the Packers constant injury problems I think Sugarman and the training staff should get some credit since they've been here the Vikings seem to be able to avoid major injury bugs and stay healthy better then most teams, and it helps when building a team because players have more longevity.

Good to know he's fine was never really that concerned though.

Hate seeing offensive linemen dive at players knees. Floyd wasn't exactly involved in the play and the offensive linemen still dove into the side of his knee.

Ironic since that's what took out Cushing.

BTW, Floyd's short arms had a hard time batting down that pass!

Officially no structural damage for Floyd

Good to know that our defensive players look to be getting healthy as well.

is Floyd number 95?

I'm so confused because there is a #76 on this team who looks alot like Floyd, who wore #76 very briefly after being drafted.

#76 is Anthony McCloud, #79 is Everett Dawkins, #83 is Rodney Smith, #7 is Christian Ponder, #29 is Xavier Rhodes, and #98 is Letroy Guion.

What does everyone in that picture have in common? They all went to Florida State.

Floyd (+1.8) was utterly dominant in his first preseason game, but had to settle for just very good this week. The Florida product had the most impressive pressure of the night. He beat left guard Colin Brown within a second of the snap with a swim move that forced a quick throw.

- With still a few games left to be graded this week, Sharrif Floyd is the second-highest graded defensive tackle in the NFL this preseason.

He's going to be great. Should've been credited with a 2nd TFL against the Bills, when he blew up the first down running play from one of those drives that started inside the 5.

Sharrif Floyd had a minor knee surgery, Frazier said. Should be ready for regular season.

What's up with this guy? Does not seem to get going.

I envy the Panthers with Star and Kwame anchoring their defense aleeady.

Kawaan Short?

Floyd's run defense is what brings him down, and likely prevents him from getting many snaps. I think he needs to play next to a big NT. He grades out slightly positive in regards to his pass rush.

There's a steep learning curve for defensive tackles, which is probably why the Vikings are bringing Floyd along slowly.

Kevin Williams played DE as a rookie for this very reason, and Williams was much more of a finished product coming out of college.

No need to be concerned just yet.

That's why I brought up Star and Short, 2 rookies at DT playing next to each other in tge best defense of the NFL.

Course, it takes time to develop, but man, can't remember flashing him once.

I believe the fact that Floyd was an underclassman is overlooked. That is a year of weight training and experience that he did not have.
