Is there such thing as 'too confident' in the NFL ? Because I think this is the best example of it.

Rams hit on Tavon Austin, but struck out on Olgatree. I mean if your gonna move up to get a second pick in the first round they better be splash play guys like what the Vikings did. Should have gotten that Guard from Kentucky, plenty of speedy outside linebackers that will be there in the 2nd 3rd rounds.

The Rams didn't move up, they moved down for Ogletree. Fisher and Snead said at the press conference, had it not been for character concerns, he would have been a top 10 or 15 pick. Ogletree is on a whole another stratosphere in terms of athleticism than the other LBs in this draft...except Arthur Brown(and Zaviar Gooden but he doesn't compare as a player). Brown the only guy who compares as a player as a pure LB...but Ogletree has more upside while Brown is more polished.

That said, Ogletree really fits perfectly into the role we needed filled on our defense.

It's a great pick. There's a reason numerous Rams fans were putting him their mocks going into the draft.

Well moved down you know what I mean.

Larry Wartfod is a can't miss pick. Guard is a big concern.

You guys could have waited and got Jamie Collins from SOuthern Miss who runs under a 4.6 and is a hybrid player Like VOn Miller. Can rush the passer, or run and chase as an outside linebacker.

HE's a sleeper of this draft.

There is more to football than running fast in a straight line. Collins isn't in the same league as Ogletree when it comes to coverage. They really aren't similar types of players.

You can teach a guy to drop back.

But man it helps when you got a guy who can rush the passer as well. A lot of teams are going for versatile players. Patriots were the first. Green Bay, Denver. More teams will catch on.

Wartford or maybe even that wr from Baylor should have been your second pick.

Warford is a 2-3 round pick. Williams is a 2nd round pick. Both of those picks would have been reaches at that pick.

If you can teach a guy to drop back can you teach a guy to rush the passer? If not a lot of teams are going to be disappointed with the pass rushers they selected.

The Rams will use Ogletree at WLB and he will be an upgrade in coverage something our LB'ers other than Laurinaitis struggled with last year. How is Ogletree not a versitale player, he is a former safety.

Like I said if you move down bck into the 1st round it better be a splash pick.

You have absolutely no idea what you are saying. How is an offensive guard a splash pick and an athletic linebacker isn't?

We didn't move back in to the first round genius.

The Rams had two first round picks.

They used one to trade up in to the top ten for Austin.

The second they used to trade down to the end of the first from 22 and choose that pick to secure Olgetree.

They didn't trade back in to the first. We got more picks for trading down.

And again why would they choose a 2nd/3rd round caliber 3-4 only OLB for their 4-3 set when they just used three previous first round picks on D-lineman including two book ends?

Lol this why the pick was so much sweeter. Add in the fact I loved Reid as a prospect. Even if untrue...make me smile.

No surprise. Was a huge reach. Terrible value.

Well, we certainly can't say that the Honey Badger doesn't think highly of himself.

As expected, Mathieu was not selected in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft on Thursday. That doesn't mean the 2011 Heisman Trophy finalist wasn't disappointed and frustrated.

There's only one person I know more confident than Matthieu.
