I am!

Look, this was a ROB RYAN pick through and through! I don't care what anyone says, Rob Ryan had a major voice in this selection and like always Ryan went with the defensive back.

On to Vaccaro, "get over it"... He's a Saint and he's proud to be one.

This kid is a PERFECT fit in Ryan's scheme. He's a athletic cover safety who has the size and physicality in the run game to develop into an elite player at his position in the NFL. Let's all stop with the Harper vs Jenkins crap. Both were horrendous lately!!! Vaccaro is a major upgrade and if Payton and Ryan believe in him, so do I.

PS: I LOVE the kids confidence!!!

@ Italics: This, this, and more this. It's like he was made to be Rob Ryan's. Everything he does well, is what we need him to do well, what he does bad, we wont need him to do. Perfect fit.

@ Bold: SO do I. I love it.

NFL.com has Vaccaro as the best first round pick!

Quote:
Wait for it ... Kenny Vaccaro, safety, drafted 15th overall by the New Orleans Saints. I've watched a lot of Saints football over the past three years, and I can tell you that this team needed help in the deep middle. I've had many a conversation with my colleague -- and former New Orleans standout -- Darren Sharper about the back four on that football team. Ultimately, the linebackers and secondary let this team down through much of last season -- as well as during the loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the 2011 playoffs. Let's not forget the poor tackling from the secondary during the postseason prior; remember "beast mode?" Vaccaro instantly boosts a safety group that features the aging Roman Harper and the wildly inconsistent Malcolm Jenkins, who has placed the bar high but has yet to keep it there in his young career.

Anyone have an idea for what number Vaccaro will wear? I'm guessing 20
