Banner saying that they had a trade in place if Mingo wasn't available (must not have liked Ansah). Would be interested in finding out what that trade would have been, but I don't really care because I really like the pick.

Probably the St. Louis trade

So mingo-Robinson-DQ-Kruger. With jabal and jj back ups. So who plays strong side ? Mingo was weakside and I believe so was Kruger

Fits the defense. Awesome potential.
Should slot in nicely and take pressure off Kruger.

What do we do with Sheard now?
Would love if he can make the transition, but he is a better fit in the 4-3.
Do we trade him?
I don't want us to trade Sheard. I hate that idea.

That being said, I expect him to be moved.

I agree with this. This is why I have a problem with switching to a 3-4. We have great D line depth, we signed kruger who coulda played outside with DQ as the middle. I just think if we woulda kept the 4-3, he wouldnt have been the pick b/c the need wouldnt have been as pressing.

oh well, lets see...

Jordan was the guy I was hoping for prior to the draft, but Mingo is a pretty solid pick IMO.

He needs a good bit of coaching, but his first step, explosiveness and general movement skills are elite.

I'm pretty geeked to see what a REAL athlete is going to look like playing in our front 7.

Lombardi, I may hate you less.....maybe.

I agree, didn't like the idea of switching to a 3-4. That being said, we have to put some faith into Horton as Browns fans. If he can get these guys to reach their max potential, it really won't matter which scheme we are using. Let's just hope Horton's results match his hype.

I think we're going to see a run on people naming their dogs "Mingo".

Yep. I just named my three dogs Mingo. Could be confusing but I'm sure they will work it out eventually.

Have not told the Wife yet. She likes the current names.

Our pass rush should be fun to watch this year...lord knows it better be effective, because our secondary is going to get shredded otherwise. Good pick, but I would have preferred Milliner.

Low production in his last year and his strength and conditioning coach called him out for being a lazy player who makes excuses not to make workouts.

I guess we'll see. It's going to take some time and development, both mentally and physically.

Pretty sure that was Montgomery, not Mingo.

Sam Mongomery, not KeKe Mingo.
