ANYBODY BUT LANE JOHNSON!

-Honestly, I like this pick. He is incredibly athletic, good first step, he's just raw as an edge rusher. That will come. And this pick will pay dividends. To give up JUST 42 to move into the top 3? That's a steal folks. Be happy.

He'll play Defensive End, dude.

Ok I can stomach that, just sucks losing 42nd pick.

Does this mean Odrick is gone?

No way. With Soliai and/or Starks gone next year, Odrick will be a valuable DT for us.

Agree the fact that we just give up a 2nd rounder o move up to 3 is pretty awesome. I just don't know a lot about this dude. Hope it works out for us.

You win in this league by creating turnovers and getting after the QB. Jordan opposite wake is trouble and it helps the back end also. He is a playmaker something we lack

This is a good pick you don t beat NE without a pass rush. If this guys turns out to be the next Aldon Smith which he could everyone will be happy. Look at all the passrushers now coming off the board he did the right thing to chill out. We'll still get a Tackle and a cpl DBs

Why is everybody complaining so much about this? Dion Jordan is SICK. Stay and take Werner? Really? And call for firing Ireland? Philbin made this pick not Ireland and giving up just a 2nd to move up from 12 to 3 is phenomenal. I can't wait to see him play opposite Wake. Maybe run more 3-4 looks? Odrick Soliai Starks on the line. Wake Ellerbee Misi and Jordan. Nasty front 7, but no let's complain because we could've taken a quarterback and had him play left tackle.

Whomever would have been there at 12 would have been a solid pick. This guy is ELITE! And all we had to do was give up pick 42? Many were saying we would have to give up that pick to move up to 6. Instead we go up and get a top 5 player, and to be honest, probably the most elite player in this draft with one caveat, that they use him correctly.

I wouldn't be surprised at all at this point if our defense ends up looking a lot more like Baltimore's next year. One where Jordan and Wake can both either put their hands in the dirt or play standing up!! I don't see Jordan as a put his hand in the dirt 100% of the time or a guy that stands up the whole time. He is the definition of a hybrid player.

Shoot, if he doesn't work out as a hybrid player then move him over to TE. The guy is an athletic freak of nature!!

I think many of us are shocked about the pick....I don't think anyone saw him getting selected by the phins...

Cause I hate trading up. But Jordan is a Phins now hope he helps Wake get more pressureon the QB.
