Quote:
STRENGTHS: Balanced athlete. Nimble feet and plays with excellent coordination and length for a 6-7, 305-pound blocker. Fisher is a smooth mover in any direction and does a nice job breaking down in space to handle speed rushers, showing the eye discipline to mirror defenders. He has added "good" weight the past few years and players with a strong frame and core.
Fisher is a fiery competitor and plays with more pop than expected, delivering power in the run game. But he looks comfortable in pass protection and has worked hard to improve his technique and instincts at the position. Proved more than capable of handling the "jump" in competition in Mobile, establishing himself as the elite prospect at any position to play in the 2013 Senior Bowl.

WEAKNESSES: Lacks elite upper- and lower-body strength. When he was beaten during Senior Bowl practices it was normally by bull rushers able to get into his pads and drive him backward. Naturally because of his height, Fisher will allow his pads to rise at times and can be walked backwards because he doesn't have a stout anchor. Didn't face many NFL-caliber pass rushers while at Central Michigan.

Compares to: Nate Solder, OT, New England Patriots -- Like Solder, Fisher's height can make him vulnerable to undersized power rushers. His length, power and impressive athleticism, however, certainly suggest that Pro Bowls could be in his future as a prototypical blind-side pass protector in today's NFL.

Citation.

Your newest Chief. Thoughts?

Pick is meh. Will like the pick a lot better if we can trade Albert for a 2nd.

If Albert is traded, I really like it. If he's not, then it's a whatever pick for me.

I personally like Eric better than Luke so even though we're kinda making a lateral move he's the player of the two that I'd pick.

I love the pick. I've thought for a while he was the better fit and better prospect IMHO. Gives Alex 2 top 15 picks at both tackle spots (if Albert isnt traded).

The days of fat LT are long since over. What a tremendous looking athlete! You better run! Our guy looks like he can!

Trade BA and get an R2. Time to move on!

I'm thinking Albert will be retained as it stands. Getting #54 for him us poor value, so unless they kick in at least a 2014 4th, it doesn't make sense. I hope the Chargers are calling who need a LT more than Miami.

I really liked Joeckel, but Fisher is the better fit for our team. Good pick all things considered.

Seeing others trade down for extra 2nds like Oakland makes me wonder why we didn't take less value to move back. I guess we really felt Albert was a goner no matter what, so had to get one of the top OTs.

Personally I'd much rather trade Albert for #54 than roll with him this year. Eric Fisher is obviously our longterm option at LT and Albert likely isn't staying here past this year.

With #54 we'll have a potential shot at Arthur Brown, Kevin Minter, Geno Smith, Margus Hunt, Manti Teo, many others.

I hope so. That's a strong OL for sure if you keep Albert. I thought KC would take Joeckel, but I had Fisher #2 overall, so I liked the pick. Protect that QB and RB and they will get that offense rolling!

I was REALLY hoping you'd take Joeckel because I think he's overrated. I like Fisher a lot, for what it's worth. He's in the athletic tackle mold and today that's always a huge plus.

He hasn't' really been talked about much but imo Stephenson hasn't exactly set the world on fire to date. So going off what we've seen and what he's done so far may not be a bad thing if we have Albert for one more year.
