Sturgis wasn't going to last to their 7th rounder, so if they loved him, it was a good move to pick him here. I had him as my top kicker, so I like that the Dolphins picked him up.

I love that Ireland has found a way to address needs without reaching. Most of his picks were valued around the area they were drafted or even a little bit higher (Taylor, Gillislee).

Sturgis>Hopkins?

I dont know. They're even to me. Hopkins has the stronger leg and NFL size, but Sturgis has the accuracy and mental toughness for those 4th quarter kicks.

With the way the draft is going I think we sign Winston and could be in the running for Woodson

Drafting two corners means Marshall and Patterson had better come with it. Their combined cap cost is over $11m this year, while the two newbies will cost less than $2m against the cap. Ditto Sturgis. Those three draft picks could potentially save $12m against the cap this year.

At least one of those two is making the team.

And Ryan Swope. NVM

Yeah, I agree. Maybe sign a Safety.

Shhhh.

I actually kind of like our safety situation, I want to see what this Kelcie McCray kid has, and Clemons was solid last year. Played 1,000 snaps.

I gotta say, this team has very little holes now if we sign Winston.

Holes? Maybe not. But the OL still is far from a sure thing, and injuries are common in this league. Whereas certain injuries wouldn't be a serious problem, others could be a huge issue for us. And we have some injury prone players that we may be relying on.

If you are interested in tracking where un-drafted free agents sign, this is a good website to track them.

most likely, and even if one is cut they may resign him on a smaller deal. That doesn't change the potential, though.

I'd love to get Alvin Bailey or Reid Fragel with this last pick.
