If Phil comes out and says how much he loves a player, it kinda tells me that there is no chance he drafts him in the 1st, and instead is just trying to bait a team into trading up.

Say we did draft Manti...

Would you have like the Shea pick better than Manti?

I mean, Phil probably had the janitors sign a non-disclosure agreement not to leak any draft information. He's not going to essentially tell the entire media that they plan on drafting Te'o if he's there. Having said that, it wouldn't surprise me if they drafted him in round 2 if he was still available.

My only issue with Te'o is how he played in the championship game, and whether or not he translates to a cover MLB the way Ogletree might, for example. A WLB or SAM of the future is easier to find and need not be drafted in the 1st round this year IMO.

Without a doubt.

Yes, yes, a million times yes.

@RapSheet: Watching @StaceyDales say she believes via source #Bears will take Manti Te'o at LB if he's available. Matches what I have been hearing.

Shea last year was a mild reach. Te'o this year would be a massive reach at 20.

If Phil loved Teo, and had any intention of drafting him at 20, he wouldn't have announced his man-love for the kid in a press conference. I refuse to believe any of this.

"Trust me you'll like him"

That's what I said last year when everyone was down on Alshon Jeffery because he wasn't Stephen Hill fast. You'll feel the same way about Teo as you all now do about Jeffrey.

Huh? I wanted Jeffrey at 19. Jeffrey ran 4.48 at his pro-day. Everyone of Emerys picks last year was height/weight/speed guy - Teo doesn't fit that mold.

Most people were down on him.

Teo and Ogletree both ran 4.70 at there pro days.
