Da'Rick Rogers would be a steal for us. I'd be completely fine if hes the WR we take. Just please no Swope or Allen.

Yeah, towards the end of the 2nd, Allen is a decent value. I prefer others to him, but I wouldn't mind that pick.

I watch a lot of Cal games and I remember really wanting him last year but was convinced he was going in the top 5. I'd still take him in the 2nd but I wouldn't trade up for him. I just want Carradine.

I want to see 2/4 of Bailey, Harper, Rogers and Stills.

2-52 DE Margus Hunt (SMU)
2-59 WR Stedman Bailey (West Virginia)
3-83 WR Da'Rick Rogers (Tennessee)
3-91 LB Khaseem Greene (Rutgers)
4-102 OC Barrett Jones (Alabama)
7-212 CB Rashaan Melvin (Northern Illinois)
7-226 TE Michael Williams (Alabama)
7-235 FS John Boyett (Oregon)

How does that scenario sound to you?

Replace Hunt with Carradine and I'd be fine with it. I like Hunt, but I don't think he's a fit for the Pats right now.

My NFLN stream was buffering constantly last night, so I watched it on a 5 minute delay, so couldn't/didn't want to post on here as I was behind.

Thoroughly enjoyable 1st Round in terms of drama, excitement and the moves we made.

Few thoughts:

Dion Jordan to the Dolphins worries me, I think he is one of the most intriguing prospects in the draft and I think in a few years could be a beast. So he and Wake could make Brady's last few years a nightmare.

Bills made a tremendous trade, the only team (along with us) to get decent value for their pick. However, EJ Manuel is a great pick for us and the rest of the AFC East.

I think the Jets did pretty well. I think Milliner was a total BPA case after the DE's and Tavon were selected in sequence directly before. Sheldon Richardson along with Coples and Wilkerson looks good on paper, but I question how they will all be on the field at the same time. Richardson isn't a fit at NT at all.

Browns, Cardinals, Chargers, 49ers, Bears, Giants and Cowboys all reached or made a bad pick in my book. The final 3 especially, though I'm glad the Giants stopped us going for Pugh like Rab had mocked us!

Vikings won the draft already IMO. All of their picks could have been Top 15 guys in my mind and I'd be lying if I said I didn't want us to flip a 3rd to STL to go up and grab Shariff Floyd to play alongside Vince.

What is the deal with all the terrible trades? Dolphins only spending a 2nd to move up to 3? San Fran paying a 3rd to jump 13 spots into the Top 20?

Very few trades last night, maybe we were 'spoiled' last year when there was so many. It seemed like a lot of teams just stuck where they were and made a pick, even if it was a considerable reach.

Carradine instead of Hunt and a DT in there as well. Hopefully Kawann Short with 59 or Johnathan Jenkins/Bennie Logan in the 3rd or 4th.

I just hope we get Hunter so NBT would stay alive, he will jump off a window if we don't.

But a pass-rusher is more impotent first of all.

I'd prefer a pass rusher in the form of a DT. Obviously, Sly and Datone are gone, so all we have left is Kawann Short. Akeem Spence might be the next best option. I think DE is a little less of a need, and at this point, Carradine is the only guy I'd want. Lavar Edwards looks like a Cunningham clone, and Okafor will never be an impact player IMO. I'm not sure if Collins' best potential is a DE in a 4-3, although I'd love to have him from a pure football standpoint. Can't wait til we rule Day 2 today!

Does anyone else think we could go tight end some time in the later rounds. I would like to get someone else besides Herman and Hooman at tight end. I know Gronk and Hernandez are their but I would like a solid third option/back up for when one of them go down this season.

Unless Escobar is inexplicably available in the late 4th or something I'd like it.

ESPN Magazine had two mock drafts. Mel Kiper went 1-for-32. Todd McShay went 2-for-32.
