Still can get some contributers in the 7th

I'd be happy with 2 of these

RB J Jamison
RB D Johnson
WR D Rogers
OT C Faulk
DE D Bass
DE J Kruger
LB C Thomas
LB V Williams
CB J Poyer
CB J Adams
FS T Jefferson (for taco reasons only)

Jordan Poyer is still available? Wow. He's a bit small, but he shouldn't be lasting this long.

But why not maintain that dominance? You guys were there...

Let me give you my personal opinion, on what I think has happened.
It all started with the release of the coke machine in Brandon Jacobs.

Chip Kelly picking a lot of PAC 12 guys. They had a pretty good 7th round imo.

Okay Eric Herman G Ohio. 36 reps at combine. Good feet and movement. 51 straight starts for Ohio U who had a good team last few yrs. Seubert with better athleticism. Perhaps. Also can play C. Id say Baas days are numbered maybe Diehls

If I was told prior to the draft that we'd land Justin Pugh, Jonathon Hankins, Demontre Moore and Ryan Nassib, I'd ask where to sign. That's a pretty decent haul.

That said, I'm disappointed with the lack of attention at LB and CB. The defense was second to last in the league last year. I guess the Giants felt that the issues were up front, and not in the second and third level. We lost Boley, Blackburn and Phillips and only added Dan Connor. Hopefully some of the UDFAs can come in and steal a spot.

Something else I've noticed is that we haven't drafted a receiver early for the first time in a long time. We currently have Nicks, Cruz, Randle, Jernigan and Murphy. But we carry 6 receivers, and I think at some point we had 7. That means at least one no name is probably going to get a roster spot. Hopefully somebody that can return kicks.

Agree with your first statement.

I think with us getting Aaron Ross back and our BPAs not being corner in the early rounds we figured we can't help CB that much better than what we have. I mean is a 5th rounder going to be better than Aaron Ross, Terrell Thomas or Jayron Hosley? Probably not.

I think we probably get Boley to come back. We have some good players at LB but I agree I would like more attention to that group.

Agree. But we have a lot of good young receivers so I can see why we don't go that route again.
