#Browns seriously considering a trade for Dolphins WR Davone Bess, according to a league source. Several teams in the mix.

If Miami is really going to not re-sign him next year, trade him for a 3rd. I'd hate to see it because he is one of my favorite players but its a business

Well, that came out of left field.

If we do trade him, what's the plan? Play Gibson in the slot or pick up Austin at 12? Swope/Patton in the 2nd? mmmmm

Interesting.

Heartline in the Slot, gibson and wallace at the 1 and 2.

Draft Eifert in the first or Ertz in the second.

Draft another WR in 4th or third?

We still need to build that O-line though....

bess is a nice checkdown option for a young qb. He's a dependable vet, but hes maxed out. I think we are ready to move on from him, id prolly say we get a 4th or 5th out of him

Sources tell me 99.9% receiver Davone Bess from Miami to Cleveland Browns for mid round picks.

I like this. I love Bess and everything he has done but get picks for him while you can, and since he doesn't fit, send him to a place where he does.

Just another link for the conversation.

Sources tell Draft Insider Tony Pauline there's a "99.9 percent" chance Davone Bess is traded to the Browns for "mid-round picks."

Quote:
If the Dolphins could get "picks" for Bess, it would be a huge victory. The 27-year-old doesn't have a role in Miami after the Brandon Gibson and Mike Wallace additions. In Cleveland, Bess would likely compete with David Nelson for slot duties. He has one year left on his contract.

Could this be part of a deal to move up in the draft?

I thought about that. Solomon Wilcotts made a mention that the Browns want to move down, and may only want another player in return to move up.

I took from that, swap 1sts, a good player, and a couple lower picks could move up with the Browns.

Maybe we move up and get one of the Tackles left.

I'd like to see something like Bess and pick 82 for picks 139 and 68. It values him as a high 4th rounder.

I've been saying the Dolphins should trade him since before FA started. Not what you look for in the WCO. Great player, poor fit. Would be very pleased if we got a 4th for him.
