He's a chain mover...rarely drops passes, runs very good routes, but is limited due to his size and speed, he won't score many TD's and he's not going to take a slant the distance. He's basically a casualty of too many players and too few balls to go around (and he has a higher cap hit).

Strange since Norv doesn't use slot receivers much and Royal was miserable for the most part when we tried using a slot receiver in Norv's offense.
Probably because Royal was never a good slot receiver to begin with.

Trade down with team from AFC East including 2nd round picks and a slot receiver.

I feel like I've heard this story before.

Don't understand why Miami would want to trade him. Great slot option.

Well first off, he's a FA next summer.
Second of all, we signed Brandon Gibson who can play the slot.
Third of all, we have 2 2nds, 3 3rds. One of those 4 picks can and probably will be used on a slot receiver if Bess is traded. Austin/Swope/Patton all options.

It makes sense to trade Davone but I'm not sure how I feel about it. Bess is one of the top slot receivers in the game.

Brandon Gibson didn't play the slot in STL and it doesn't line-up with what he does best.

Dolphins, stay away from Tavon.

Gibson won't be playing only slot. Philbin wants WRs that can line up anywhere. So he'll be playing split end, flanker, and slot. So will Wallace, Hartline, etc. This is also the reason Bess doesn't fit the Fins new look. Can really only play as a slot.

Well...he can line-up anywhere...he just doesn't play any of them at more than a mediocre to average level.

I'd do that for a dollar. Good move for Cleveland. Miami has sights set on Austin.

If that's the case you wait until you have secured Austin in the draft before making that deal. One of those deals that are in place if player A is there type trades. Much like the Eagles did 24 hrs in advance with the Cox trade last season. If that deal is completed before the draft I don't think it has anything to do with Austin but the Swoope and Patton type players mentioned before.

I don't understand the question and I won't respond to it.

seriously you guys on here have to realize not everyone knows the nicknames for your players. Who is flash Gordon?

Josh Gordon, the only receiver that he would be offsetting in Cleveland.

Given Miami's lack of quality recievers it's a wonder they would trade 1 unless of course they decide to draft 1 with their 1st round pick tonight.

Gordon, Little, Nelson, Bess, Benjamin, (Norwood/Cooper/draft pick)

I think we will see a big improvement at WR. Adding Nelson and Bess gives us some chain moves and another year older for Gordon, Little, and Benjamin could see some nice things out of this group. Not anything crazy but for the first time since we have been back an NFL caliber group all the way through.

(If it happens)
