This is the thread for discussing the draft. We can certainly have additional threads to discuss individual picks, other teams picks or even AFC South rivals picks. But this thread will be a general discussion thread

I've seen anyone from DT Sylvester Williams, CB Desmond Trufant, LB Jarvis Jones and even WR Keenan Allen mocked to us so it is really up in the air who we will pick because after free agency we set ourselves up for best player available.

Honestly I want us to take a pass rusher, but I still have a man crush on Barrett Jones.

Colts Picks
Round 1/Pick #24 OLB/DE Bjoern Werner Florida ST
Round 3/Pick #86 G Hugh Thornton Illinois
Round 4/Pick #121 C Khaled Holmes USC
Round 5/Pick #139 DT Montori Hughes Tenn-Martin
Round 6/Pick #192 S John Boyett Oregan
Round 7/Pick #230 RB Kerwynn Williams Utah ST
Round 7/Pick #254 (comp pick/not able to trade) TE Justice Cunningham So. Carolina

The Free Agency period put us in a prime position for this draft. Grigson and the FO really addressed most of our needs, and has made it a lot easier to go out and snag some quality talent in this draft.

In regards to Thursday, I'd be happy if we were able to land any of:

Jonathan Cooper
Tank Carradine
Cordarrelle Patterson
Xavier Rhodes

Mike Mayock unveiled his mock draft today and had us selecting Houston CB D.J. Hayden. Says that Hayden is the #1 CB on his board and that he can't explain why this league that tends to push it's medical staff to clear a player to play would use Hayden's injury history to pass on him.

For those unaware, during a practice prior to a game on November 6th 2012 Hayden was hit in the chest by a teammate's knee with such force that a vein in his heart tore open, This injury is mostly seen in car crashes and has a 95% fatality rate due of loss of blood. 3 months after the emergency heart surgery he ran a 4.33-40

If Hayden got all cleared, I'd be so down for him. My top guys, in no real order are:

Justin Hunter
Xavier Rhodes
DJ Hayden (if completely ok, not sure if he is)
Barrett Jones (not in the first)
Jonathan Cooper
Jonathan Cyprien
Alec Ogletree

Not sure if Ogletree is a fit for the 3-4 though.

Here is my top 10:

Star Lotulelei
Chance Warmack
Jonathan Cooper
Jarvis Jones
D.J. Hayden
Xavier Rhodes
Cornellius Carradine
Manti Te'o
Justin Hunter
Jamar Taylor

The first 4 are long shots but if they were there at 24 I would hope the Colts would run to the podium. As for everyone else, it is highly likely that they will be availible when we pick and all would fill a need.

A Cornerback or a Wide Reciever would be nice. I'd also be open to trading down in the draft to get more picks (Including 1 in Round 2).

My dream scenario involves not picking tonight and trading back. Hopefully picking up a 2014 first from some team desperate to move up to get a QB that is available.

Otherwise I am hoping for a fall from Jarvis Jones.

One of my coworkers asked me who the Colts are going to draft. And I said, I'm not sure except it won't be a QB, TE, FB, K or P.
