Rumors are according to a very reliable source the Panthers are looking at Sheldon Richardson, Tavon Austin, Kenny Vaccaro and Xavier Rhodes.

Out of those 4 who do you want us to take and why?

1. Xavier Rhodes
2. Tavon Austin
3. Sheldon Richardson

4. Kenny Vaccaro

Biggest reason most want Vaccaro is because he plays safety. He is nothing special and nothing separates him from what we can get in the 2nd. Rhodes has great potential at corner.

I second this.

1. Vaccaro
2. Austin (will be gone)
3. Richardson
4. Rhodes

I don't think Vaccaro is much better than Cyprien, but unless we trade back 5 or 6 spots it won't matter. I do think Vaccaro is better than the guys we'd get in the 2nd (Swearinger, Elam, Reid).

This is pretty much how I see it.

Crazy though, I was just talking to someone who I'd want the Panthers to draft and I said Star, Austin, Vaccaro or Rhodes

Espn did a mock today that had us taking star. I can't say I'd be unhappy about that.

Don't disagree with Vaccaro over Swearinger and Reid (though I prefer Elam but it's close). I just don't think he is that much better to the point where if we got Reid in the 2nd, we'd be that worse off.

Definitely. I think most of us would agree that he'd be an amazing pick.

If Star gets past the Eagles, I think the Panthers have a good chance of drafting him. Mayock did a mock draft today and he had the Panthers taking Richardson... And Star was still on the board. The Bucs did the Panthers a favor with their trade. Most mock drafts had the Bucs drafting a DL. Let's hope that the Eagles do not trade down. This will leave the Panthers with their choice of Star, Richardson, Vacarro or Rhodes.

I have said it, and continue to say it, the 1st pick we make should be a DT. I would be ecstatic if Star or Richardson are the pick. Anybody else would be a mistake if we dont trade down.

Sitting at 14 you have a lot more than 4 ready to take.

I honestly believe we are going to take someone not in the 4 that is listed. I really couldn't be surprised if we took Cyprien or even Justin Hunter.

Draft is full of surprises, guys get valued differently by every team.

Yup. Plus, schemes play such a huge part. I was listening to Moving the Chains yesterday and Kirwin mentioned that he had discussed DBs with a few team scouts. Both of them had Rhodes listed as their 5th CB. Of course, go to a different team with a different scheme, and he could be 2nd or 3rd on their list.

It's going to be interesting to see how things shake out. It always is!

On NFL Network they had DJ Hayden as the #1 CB.
