Metrics are interesting on this one. Sub 7.0s 3-cone which projects well for move to OLB. 1.56s 10-yard split (that's good!), 4.67s 40 at 6'2" and 240 lbs. Looks like more of a speed rusher than an speed-to-power guy, but could get stronger yet.

It's good to see that we're loading up on the D-line right now.

I'm surprised that we're not getting more RBs. There's an opening for the second string behind Mathews. You would think that UDFAs would want to jump and that, and vice versa.

Explosion numbers? Or did he not have any?

I'll work out the math a little later on and post it up.

Kind of difficult when Houston's signing every one of them under the sun for their #3 job.

Michael Hill is a good get though - wouldn't be surprise to see him beat out both Whitaker and Baker in camp. Plus, Houston and Washington aren't going to be able to hold onto all the guys they have. We should have options to pick from the waiver wire in Week 3 or 4 of the preseason.

Wonder if we'd cut Meachem and Royal for Gardner if he balls out. I like a lot of our UDFA signings. And we should have a lot of spaces.

I'll work out the math a little later on and post it up.

Explosive Power: 0.876
Speed 10: 4.084
Speed 40: -0.3901
Speed Avg: 1.847
Agility = 1.434
Twitch = 1.38

Metrically, he compares to a less agile (only slightly less explosive) Brooks Reed. This speaks nothing of his technique or level of competition faced. But he could prove to be a fair Barnes replacement. Will be interesting to see.

I'm either going to love Joe D or I'm going to hate him. Also, said on another site, I wouldn't be surprised if Joe D tries to get Cotton to bulk up over time and move to OT.

I'm beginning to wonder what the knock was on Jerideau to push him out of the draft. From what video I can find, this guy could be very good. He's not real quick out of his stance, and he plays a little upright, but he can move people, and penetrate. STRONG.

Probably not too much upside as anything other than run stuffer. Real big fan of the big guys on the team now with Geathers, Moore, and Jerideau. Geathers was not bullied in that Bama game and drove Barrett more than a few times.

Also check out the wheels at around 3:30. Dude is running as fast as Lacy.

Moving pretty good for a guy that ran a 5.44.

Jerideau looks like he can get in the backfield, and make the reads. He'll be a NT, so I'm not worried about pass rush with the two DE's on the team. Here's one I saw that made me happy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=kwh35NCOkM0#t=9s

They show it a few times from different angles. It's not the only time I saw this either.

Chargers meeting with Bryant McKinnie today. There's something I can get behind. McKinnie and Fluker on the ends .. yah, that would be an improvement!

I agree that McKinnie would be an upgrade but I am hearing alot of talk about him being another Gaither.
