our roster isn't littered with nickel backs. Gilchrist is reportedly moving to SS to compete with Taylor so the only player we have at nickel is Johnny Patrick. Williams will probably compete with Patrick for the nickel job

Till he's proven otherwise, Wright is more of a nickel than a boundary corner. Greg Gatson is a nickel. Don't even know what to think of Cornelius Brown, because I haven't seen enough tape of him

Wright has shown the ability to play outside....

I haven't seen Tourek play yet. Its a 6th round pick I don't care all that much. Matt Summers Gavin time? Wink

I beginning to think they're moving to a 4-3. The only NT is Cam Thomas, and you can't do it with just one on the roster.

I've decided I want them to end the day with Lawrence Okoye. There's at least some entertainment value in it.

Telesco already has said they are looking to sign a vet before training camp.

Trolls are gonna troll.

This isn't the way I felt this draft was going to go. We drafted one trench player. AJ may be gone but the lack of investment in the trenches isn't. I'm disappointed with the first draft. The selection that I felt was best value was Te'o and it quite possibly may end up being the worst selection we made. I will need to see who the UDFA are because quite a few should stick on this roster.

I'm betting we get McKinnie. And I'm sure JD'A is in love with Dunlap

Sorensen above Dysert, Bray etc etc...lol

Not bad since they're all project QB's, but just funny to me.

UGH another guy that would have been available as a UDFA.

Duffman gets a John Skelton clone. SMH

Unless Telesco does some serious work in UDFA and/or McCoy, Joe D, Don Johnson, and Barry can coach the living hell out of this team... we're going to regress further this year.

I'm more worried that's the case. I just find it frightening they didn't even bother to get a developmental guy behind him.

Our single biggest issue from last season was the OL and our genius new front office addresses it with 3 career backups and a questionable scheme-fit ROT and nothing else.

Just... wow!

The one pick I don't understand is the Tourek Williams pick. Short-arms and one dimensional, christ we could have resigned Barnes who has the same skill set.....but is a better specimen.

The other picks I get the thought process behind them

Fluker-Day one starter on the Right side and a upgrade from Clary

Te'o-low upside, but high floor LB and a day one starter

Allen-Z WR and BPA in the 3rd

S.Williams-Slot CB with great athleticism, picked due to the Welker signing

Sorenson-7th round pick flyer

It could be, but McKinnie is probably only coming back for a shot at a ring. That would mean returning to Baltimore or heading to New Orleans. A darkhorse candidate would be Jason Peters. He's the highest paid left tackle in the league and they just took Lane Johnson 4th overall. If he isn't displaced this year, they'll cut him for sure next year. In fact, all three of the top left tackles are displacing capable players. Branden Albert, Eugene Monroe, and Jason Peters are all free agents next offseason. Jordan Gross' contract voids and there's probably another that I'm forgetting about. They could be content with giving Dunlap a chance this year, and then taking their pick of the litter next March.
