- WR Keenan Allen (if he falls that far)

Round 3

My list would probably look more like this:

What I think we would take

2nd
Da'Rick Rogers
Datone Jones
Kyle Long
Terron Armstead
Kawann Short
Quinton Patton
3rd
DeVonte Holloman
Dallas Thomas
Jordan Reed
Vance McDonald
Gavin Escobar
Chris Harper

With the players in orange as guys I personally do not want. And that's generally in the order I like.

I don't know, this class is stacked with talent at the WR position, most guys not coming with the red flags that Rogers has. I think he has a solid chance of being a 3rd rounder if anything.
Patterson and Austin are the only guys I see with the same comparable raw WR talent that Rodgers has. If I knew Rodgers would be able to pack on 10lbs. of muscle, I'd probably say he's the most talented true WR. I love his game.

I'm not arguing that, but teams are going to take his character in question the same way Syracuse's Mike Williams saw his value lowered despite being one of the better prospects in that class.
that's true. But, I see three things working in Da'Rick's favor that Mike Williams didn't have.

1) Mike William's success

2) Da'Rick is a more talented prospect

3) Da'Rick's character concerns are smaller imo.

I don't deny any of those things you listed. But Mike Williams was a 4th round pick. When you take the things you listed into consideration, I think it's awfully fair to say Da'Rick will make it to the late 2nd.

Are you reading things that make you think Jones will fall to us? That seems unlikely to me. I can't imagine the Pats, Houston, Ravens, 49ers twice, Eagles, and then quite a few other 3-4 teams before us.

Oh, I'm not arguing there isn't potential for that. That's a very fair argument. I just don't see him falling out of the 2nd. Certainly not to our 3rd like some are hoping.

Could be wishful thinking on my part, but it seems as though Datone Jones' stock has been really quiet for the better half of a month while we've been hearing of all these players rising into the late 1st and early 2nd. When I look at prospects, I can imagine 60+ prospects selected before Datone. I just think it's a matter of teams questioning his upside compared to other prospects and how good of a scheme fit he is. He's pretty big for a 4-3 DE and pretty small for a 3-4 5-tech. That could cause him to fall as well. I won't be surprised at all if he's there when we pick and I'd love him of course.

He and Bennett would be a lovely combo in the future.

After Last year and all the crow I had to eat, I'm going to do my absolute best to be excited for whoever we end up with. I was completely wrong about Wilson to the 100th the degree. I was calling Bruce Irvin a Thug life scum and he has shown a real maturity as a player and teammate. I was literally sick to my stomach over the moves JS and PC were making. This year I will trust this organization to do what they do best be unorthodox and make the entire league jealous. Our scouts, FO and whoever else does the work to find these guys need applause for turning the Seattle Seahawks from a chump organization to a Superbowl contender.

*as long as they don't draft Uzzi. I just hate that guy!!! Laughing

I applaud you. I really respect comments like these....now where's osprey?

It's hard not to agree with everything these dudes put together. As long as they don't pass on a player I like, we're all good. Our FO is awesome at what they do because they stick to their guns. Reminds me of the spurs in the nba

I thought about him - I think he fits best as a 3-4OLB but I can see the Hawks using him as a rush LB and DE if we do pick him.

I really like Jones too. Great versatility and comes from a great program. I worry that he may be a better college player than a pro but if we get him in the 3rd-4th to push for PT at Guard and as a back-up centre I think it would be a good pick.

I'll name 3 people for each Seahawks pick on day 2....

Round 2:
- Brandon Williams, DT, Missouri Southern
- Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech
- Terron Armstead, OT/Project, Arkansas-Pine Bluff

Round 3:
- DJ Swearinger, S, South Carolina
- Keenan Allen, WR, California
- Khaseem Greene, WLB, Rutgers

Doesn't mean I'd agree with these picks, but if these guys are around at our picks, I think one of them will be selected. Who knows with PC/JS though...
