|

|
Some new info, some old info, some reminder info.
As most of you know, draft day is the busiest day of the year here on FF. Last year on Day 1 of the draft, we had 3833 people online at once (all-time record for the site). Odds are good that the record will be broken again this year.
Based on this, here are some important bits of info.
1. If you look on the Main Forum Index Page, it will look different than usual. This is intentional. Webby goes to what he calls a "Static Page" that has just the bare bones for maneuvering. It allows the site to run as quickly as possible.
2. If you want your navigation on the site to be as quick as possible, you may want to bookmark the subforum page for the Browns forum (if you haven't already), rather than navigating through the main site menu.
3. We love all the activity on the forum during the draft, but please resist the urge to start a new topic for every thought that enters your brown and orange mind. There will be lots to discuss, and we don't want the good stuff to get buried with a million topics on the front page. Also, lots of gifs and memes will slow things down, so please use them more selectively than you might usually do.
4. NFL Network and ESPN have supposedly agreed to stop with the "spoilers" for each draft pick. You know, when they show the guy about to be drafted on the phone and smiling before the pick is announced. Anyway, since the networks have adopted this stance, we want to adopt a similar stance. Those who are active on Twitter know that the picks will undoubtedly be leaked on there. While that's great if you want the scoop, it seems that most people would prefer to find out when the pick is actually announced. So, we're going to ask that people not make "spoiler" posts about picks.
If a majority of people would prefer the spoilers, then we can certainly amend that stance. But for now, we're going to ask that no one play spoiler by posting what's on Twitter.
As always, we will have a great time watching everything unfold. I've said it before, but if we can draft a 28-year old QB in the 1st round without the forum imploding, I think we're probably invincible. Leave it to the Browns, though, to test my theory.
Please post any questions you might have. _________________ Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Will we be able to post indictment "spoilers" should members of Pilot/Flying J get indicted over the course of the next week?
Just checking. _________________ '14 1st Ballot Recipient of Joe Blackburn Award... A team is built thru the draft. NASA Glenn, we have ignition in Berea. |

Only if the Feds agree to tell us who the Browns are taking at #6. _________________ Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Forgot to mention. As usual, EZ will make the individual threads for our draftees. He's quick and gets the job done (that's what she said).
I'll never forget the Scanners gif to begin the Weeden draft pick thread. Because of that, and that alone, EZ will always have this job. _________________ Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

I guess it was just the pic and not the gif. But either way, an instant and eternal classic:

Like pretty much everyone else, I hated the pick. I just remember opening the thread, seeing the pic, and laughing like an idiot. I needed the laugh.
I also remember how much EZ didn't want Weeden, and then he had to make the thread. I applauded his opening post. _________________ Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
