http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/0ap1000000162248/article/2013-nfl-draft-sevenround-mock-forecasts-every-pick-1-to-254

its not realistic in some areas but if it did fall like this I'd be pretty stoked

thoughts?

Overall, I'm not a huge fan. I don't like Williams as a prospect much; at least not in terms of what he can provide to our team. I think he's a 1-2 down player. I know a lot of people think he can slide out to end, but I just don't see that type of versatility in his game and the he adds nothing to the pass rush.

I like swearinger of course, though I'm not a fan of Ertz as a prospect. He's overhyped and overvalued, just like Fleener was last year. I could deal with that pick at the bottom of the second though.

I don't like the idea of taking a quarterback in round 3; I'm actually quite content with Mccoy and Tolzien as backups right now. I don't mind a developmental quarterback in round 6 or seven, but if we blow a 3rd rounder on a quarterback, he's basically guaranteed a roster spot, and given the choices, I'd rather have Mccoy or Tolzien rather than Scott on the roster. I love the Mathieu pick at the bottom of round 3...I think he'll be an extremely gifted slot/nickel corner.

The two williams picks in round 4 I'd be okay with (btw, does anyone notice how many "williams" there are in this draft? seriously, its ridiculous). Not overly stoked, but I think they're solid picks.

Now Jones in the fifth I would be stoked about. I can't believe he will fall out of round 3 though. that'd be a precipitous drop. But another stanford tight end in round 6? No thanks. I see no need for that, and I'm not a fan of Toilolo either. There are about 15 prospects they have going after that in the round that I would much much much rather have. Taylor as a running back, Stoneburner as a better tight end option, John Simon, Josh Boyce...i mean, there are a lot of prospects that they have available in round 6 that i would love to have.

Round 7 is mostly camp fodder, though i would actually really like the selection of Zack Line.

well wasn't sopoaga a 1st and 2nd down guy?

I'm really concerned about 3 main positions with this draft
Nose
Free Safety
and #2 Tight end (only because we use so many 2 TE sets)

secondly I'd like in this order.
depth at CB
a stretch the field WR
depth at D-Line
depth at O-Line

True, but I don't see the need to draft NT that high if we are just going to play them on first and second downs.

If we keep the pick, then probably. However a DL wouldn't surprise me but in the past, we have filled our biggest need first in the draft.

i also heard rumors that we might move up into the middle of the 1st rnd

the only reason I could see us move up there is to maybe take vaccaro or louteilei

Soap didn't even play nearly that much. He only played about a third of the defensive snaps. Can't see us ever using a very high pick on a guy that will contribute on one third of the defensive snaps. If they're not happy with the two guys we've got now our third rounder is the highest I'd go for a nose.

+1. plenty of "space eaters" in the middle rounds.

I did find it interesting they had us taking Ertz in the lower 2nd round and Toilolo in about the 5th or 6th round...

oh you're definitely preaching to the choir on this one. I'd prefer that we move up take the best FS on the board (which IMO is the most pressing need for us) than to sit or even move up for a NT

I like Matt Scott, but a QB in the 3rd is way too early imo.
