Bray and Pryor should be the next two picks. Come on Rick!

Don't know much about Chris Jones (or anything), but a DT with those sack totals is impressive, even in the MAC. Is he a 1-gap NT or a 5-tech

Because it gets addressed with Cushing being back. The second ILB is probably the least important position on the defense. A platoon of Sharpton and Reed will be fine there.

Jones will likely be a NT for us. NFL.com profile says he might be a NT/DT tweener which is an odd type of tweener.

1-gap NT according to Lance Zierlein.

So yeah... TE Ryan Griffin

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1689456/ryan-griffin

Quote:
COMPARES TO: Garrett Graham, TE, Houston Texans - Although overshadowed by Owen Daniels in Houston's offense, Graham is a reliable receiving threat who also gives good effort as a blocker. Griffin is probably more of a No. 2 TE like Graham, but can also step up and start if needed.

I'm curious what it is about Jordan Poyer (not Pryor) that has kept him undrafted to this point. I haven't heard anything about injuries or negative interviews. It's either very hush-hush, or he was severely overrated. But I watched him play at Oregon St, and at the Senior Bowl and I really liked him

Solid draft I give it a B-. Nothing to flashy but provides competition.

There's gonna be some nice UDFA's

That's one thing that can be said about finishing in round 6....start lining up the UDFA's. I don'tknow if you can start making phone calls before the draft is over or not, but you can have a plan in place.

Rick nailed it with the first 4 picks .... well even though Brennen Williams was a reach I am okay with it as he has good size and decent skills, I am hoping he is our RT for the future if he turns out to be a rotational guy.... well it could have been worse

If our OLB roation is going to be Mercilus, Montgomery & Trevardo Williams... we are going to get killed against the run! also none of those guys call fall back into coverage...

I am not okay with Reed moving to ILB, but I don't see much of an improvement over Sharpton or Dobbins in coverage so that means he is going to come off the field during nickle and dime... so makes me think why move him inside? also I am a bit skeptical of Montgomery's skill against the run

David Quessenberry is hopefully going to be Wade Smith's replacement... going into this draft one of the goal's had to be to get his replacement....

For sure Rick could have done better with Alan Bonner, there were 4-5 WR's on the board that I would have taken over him, if they didn't like any of them we should have taken a P... we have the K of the future would also be nice to have the P of the future Shane Lechler is a band aid!

Christopher Jones has the numbers, good pick in my opinion... was afraid for a min that we were going into this season with Earl Mitchell as the only playable NT on the roster
