Yes. I don't think there is a better player-coach fit in this draft than Mingo and Rex. |

I think it would be smarter of you NOT to reply to any post of mine. |

Probably good advise for all of Footballs Future to follow. _________________

I want them both....
How awesome would that be to get Jordan at 9 and Mingo at 13?
Then the rest of the draft could go something like
2-WR
3-S
4-G
5-Ivory (or RB via draft)
6-OL
7-S or CB |

So Aaron Maybin is 6-4 240... how is that any different from Mingo? Im just concerned we cut one OLB that couldn't play 3 downs for another.
Maybe its just me, but Im a little hesitant on Mingo. Id much prefer Ziggy. |

Maybin couldn't turn, Mingo can. _________________

So because they're roughly the same size they'll be roughly the same player? _________________ “You don’t burn out from going too fast. You burn out from going too slow and getting bored.”

No, I share the same concerns as jimbo, so I get what he is saying. A lot of what people say about Mingo they said about Maybin. Tireless motor, quick off the snap, great speed, ect ect. And yes, they are of similar stature. Now I've already heard some reasoning in another thread why Mingo should be better than Maybin. But still, I'm not totally sold on Mingo. Like I said in that other thread, I won't be thrilled if we pick him, but I won't jump out of a window either. Hopefully he will be more like an Irvin than Maybin. |

I love Ansah as well. To me he is the ideal Rex Ryan OLB. Speed, size to set the edge v the run. I want him.
That said, Mingo does not equal maybin.
Maybin ran a 4.88 40 time, Mingo ran a 4.58
Maybin 7.53 3-cone, Mingo 6.84 3-cone
They are not the same player, Mingo is much more instinctive and fluid in his movements. Maybin just over-ran tackles and chased from behind. _________________

I do hope all you guys are right. I won't be able to stand watching another guy just run laps around OTs while not getting close to the QB at all. Maybin ended up perfecting that. |
