Arizona discussed trading a 2nd round pick for KC's Branden Albert over the weekend since talks stalled with Miami for the LT.

Not sure I mind the move, my question is, the salary he wants to command.

I personally think that the pick at 38 is too valuable this year. Maybe next years 2nd rounder though

Would not mind the move, but I think the (10+M/year) that he is likely to demand is far higher than I would be willing to pay.

I'd rather just keep the 2nd round pick and get a guy like Armstead or Warford to be honest.

Hey guys, how credible is Mike Jurecki? Apparently he is the one reporting that the Cardinals have discussed a trade with the Chiefs for Albert. Obviously that could be a 30 second phone conversation and nothing more. I am wondering if you guys have the cap room to make the trade and sign Albert to a long term deal?

Personally, if the contract demands are a smokescreen by someone and not really a sticking point this could be our new GM John Dorsey trying to make up for Trent Baalke stealing our 2013 second round pick and a 2014 pick (3rd rounder likely) for Alex Smith.

Jurecki is one of if not the most reliable Cards reporter. Just don't ever even look into it if it has Bickley or Urban generally. (But Urban just follows Jurecki or Somers lead)

And I'm not good with cap room but I know we don't have a ton of room this offseason

Jurecki is about as reliable as it gets for Cardinals rumors.

Thanks guys! Just from a draft pick compensation standpoint, I would rather deal with you guys obviously and pick up the higher second round pick (#3Cool as opposed to Miami's #42 IIRC.

We can't afford 10m per year unless it's dangerously back-loaded.

3rd I am in, #38 too high.

Champ saying Fisher or Jordan would be the choice at #7.

Albert might be in play on Friday

It could be a smokscreen as well

Least we are checking options & kicking tyres.

Albert for $7 - 8 mil is ok for me

We have the space

Levi can get punted inside or out to the kerb this year or next.

Massie is RT, no matter what.

Levi to RG as far as I am concerned.

If we do trade for Albert, i hope we take Warmack with the 7th pick.

we would have a Starting guard for the next 10-12 years.

Albert, Warmack, Sendlein, Colledge, Brown

wouldn't be a bad starting line up minus "Colledge"

I would rather roll with Nate Potter at LT and keep the 2nd instead of dishing out and giving a big paycheck to Albert. Simply put:

Nate Potter + #38 > Albert (plus his new contract) - #38

Move Brown inside and start Massie. No reason not to start Massie after he strong end to his rookie year.

I like the idea of Brown as a right guard. Move Colledge to a back up roll. new line

Albert, Warmack, Sendlein, Brown, Massie

that's respectable.
