General Draft Discussion Thread

I couldn't find a general draft discussion thread so I decided to make one. I'm sure we'll have an official draft day thread, but for these last few days I figured we could use a place to share rumors and discuss possibilities.

I'll start.

EZ's Aside

Just to piggy back off the thread since it already exists- Mods will be posting the threads for the draft day discussion and pick discussion. Look for those in the next couple days

- Browns will trade out of #6.
- Dee Milliner will fall out of the top 10.
http://www.eastcoastsportsnews.com/2013_NFL_Draft.html

- Several teams have legit injury concerns about Milliner.
- Several teams are very high (higher than believed) on TE Tyler Eifert.
- CB DJ Hayden is viewed as a 1st rounder by several teams.

- Taking Ansah at #6 is a real possibility.
- Browns would love to trade bacl to #11/12 and take Mingo.

Like the trade out

Agree about Hayden (i like him a lot)

Really not as high on Ansah as some.

Am fine with trading out and taking Mingo if need be.

Let me rephrase

I like Ansah and would be fine with him, but I feel like he is the biggest boom bust pick in the draft.

Actually I wouldn't mind Mingo at 6. I think he can blossom under Horton.

I think either of those guys could be good under Horton.

Thing that worries me is if we take an OLB that early, it will really make me believe that we would trade Jabaal.

We should be taking a pass rusher early because you need multiple pass rushers to win in this league. We shouldn't be looking at a pass rusher to use Jabaal Sheard in a trade.

why most D sets these days are out of the Nickel and Horton uses a 1 5 5.

Sheard Krugar and Ansah could easily be on the field at the same time for example

Am I the only one who plugs a finger in their ear the week before the draft? It's the pinnacle of silly season and seems like there is so much misinformation intentionally being spread that even if there is a nugget of truth out there, it's nearly impossible to pick it out from all the other nuggets of BS.

Last year all of the rumors were that we were targeting Trent Richardson and Brandon Weeden. The only idiot who thought other wise is MKC who probably knows little more about football than my 1 year old daughter.

The year before was all rumours about us trading down with Atlanta and everyone in one way or another had us targeting DT and DE most thought DE first but it was still spot on.

The year before that all the talk was about Joe Haden.

Sure it might be all talk, but in Cleveland at least, it seems that talk is always 98% dead on.
