Knowing what we know now? Where would he go?

No idea, but I'm pretty sure it would be higher than the pick we used to select him, probably significantly higher.

Heckert did a hell of a job with that pick IMO, turning a 2nd round pick into almost certainly a 1st round talent.

Seeing how he ran a 4.5, I don't think he would've ever been considered a lock top 10. Assuming he actually got to play in college last year and stayed out of trouble, he would've been a first rounder.

Also, this is hindsight. It was a reach at the time. And his first failed drug test will make it a lot harder to defend. But a good job by Heckert on that one. I will miss him.

Did someone compare him to AJ Green?

Yes. And Andre Johnson. He is comprable to them. Size, athleticism, hands and production are nearly identical as rookies.

Unfortunately he doesn't have their attitude though. Hopefully that comes. Anything near Green is his, nobody else will get to that ball. I like Gordon, but he doesn't do everything he can to get the ball.

Wouldnt compare him to AJ Green (yet), but he was a steal in the 2nd rd. Id put him in the top 15 in this years draft. Lets see what he does in year 2. I believe Gordon was the youngest player in the NFL last year. Cant wait to see him in the new offense. If Braylon can look good in this offense...

I think he'll be much better at that this season, as his route running should be very much improved after not playing for 2 seasons

I'm not worried about him at all

His route running is one of my only concerns going forward. Roger Murdock mentioned this before, but I like the kids work ethic. I hate cheesy cliches but I honestly get the vibe he wants to be great. Greg Little will be better next year with this kid.

Before reading anyone's responses..................I say 2nd half of round 1, around pick 20.

Now, this is saying if somehow the Commisioner right now told Gordon he could enter the draft. As in, he would leave the Browns and enter the draft. Not talking about his projection at this time last year, I am saying right this second if he was magically entered in the draft, knowing what we know, and seeing what we say last year.

Gotta be around pick 20 I would think.

If NFL GM's saw Gordon play how he did his Rookie year, he wouldn't get out of the top 10.

He'd easily be the first WR off the board as well.

I could see Oak taking him at 3 too. They have NOBODY good at WR.

You can never predict what Oakland does I guess.

Yeah, can't say I can really argue that he could be the first WR off the board.

I didnt wanna read anyones post and influence me before I projected. I still think around pick 20, but he definitely could go a lot higher like you said.

I'm with the higher camp. Gordon has PROVED he can play in the NFL at a high level, something none of these guys have been able to do. If Gordon is in this draft his ceiling is #3 and his floor is #6.

I think the simple fact that he is proven that he can play in the NFL makes him the only player that is not an unknown commodity in the draft.

Then throw in the guy everyone is saying is the freak this year in cordarrelle Patterson really didn't run much faster than Gordon, and Gordon has shown he can seperate and atleast run some of the nfl route tree
