Before we continue calling Revis the 'best CB in league' perhaps we should see who he is off knee surgery. _________________

The Bucs have potential to be a playoff team, but they will need better QB play, bottom line. I expect the Saints to have a bounce back season and the Falcons are still a very dangerous team.
My guess is that Tampa is 9-7 at best with Revis. But they are a team with a bright future, outside of the QB position. I just dont know how to feel about Freeman long-term. _________________

Unfortunately for the Jets, their hand is forced because there is NO WAY that Rex Ryan can sell the fans on another season of Mark Sanchez and he needs to save his own job too.
|
It's not his decision. He's kept his job for now based on a much more limited hold over the team in terms of personnel decision making. |
The point still stands though. You guys NEED a QB that isn't Mark Sanchez to start for you.
I can just imagine the empty stands if the 'Sanchize' is penciled in as the starter come Week 1 |
Sure, but they won't panic into one and there's a lot of needs to fill. John Idzik has time on his side, and he's the one who is calling all of the shots.
Jets fans aren't expecting success next year and will be happy to be called anything else besides one of the worst teams in the NFL. |

This trade should help the Bucs out. They should have a much improved secondary with the additions of Goldson and now Revis. _________________ NFL: Dallas Cowboys

They're gonna have a tremendous defense. Nice secondary with some good d-linemen. I have no clue who their LBs are though. |

Not sure I'd trade picks, and give a huge contract to a player coming off a knee injury. _________________

Lavonte David should be a good player and I have always liked Mason Foster. You really only need to good starting LBs anyway, in todays NFL. _________________

When is ANYONE going to challenge the Patriots for the AFC East? This is just ridiculous. _________________ #FireDeanPees...and Chris Hewitt....and Matt Weiss |

Quote: | @garymyersNYDN It appears Air Revis took off from Morristown Airport around noon and will get to Tampa about 2;30. |

+1. If the Jets sent him to Tampa for a physical it's pretty obvious the framework of a trade is in place. _________________

Filed to ESPN: Jets and Bucs have agreed to trade comp, source confirmed. Only hurdle is physical. If it goes well, trade done by evening. |
