I really dont get the Justin Hunter hate...I dont. He's got the potential to be the best WR in the draft, and hes got a place in this offense, that also adds another dimension to the team. The Pats havent had an athlete at WR like this since Moss that also has the skills.

They have no vision. Remember, plenty of folks thought Randy Moss would do pedestrian numbers when we got him because of "our system" which did not go deep & spread the ball around.

Great receiving talent changes the system. Hunter is no different. Just as many folks simply could not see it then, they cannot see it now. No vision, no originality, no creativity.

Hunter offsets the rest of our offense so perfectly it is astounding the potential for him being available at 29 is as high as it is.

The WR I hope the Pats draft is: Hopkins
The WR I hope the Pats do not draft is:Ryan Swope
The WR who will fit the Pats scheme is: Woods
The WR who is the worst fit for the Pats scheme is:Stills
If they take a WR in round 1 I hope it is: Hopkins
If they take a WR in round 2 I hope it is: Woods
If they take a WR in round 3 I hope it is:Josh Boyce
If they take a WR after round 3 I hope it is:Josh Boyce

If they pass on Josh Boyce in round 4 I will throw my TV out the window:

Cordarrelle Patterson
DeAndre Hopkins
Robert Woods
Aaron Dobson
Tavon Austin
Markus Wheaton
Keenan Allen
Quinton Patton
Stedman Bailey

Justin Hunter I hate this WR. Next big Diva

Good idea! My .02 cents:

The WR I hope the Pats draft is: DeAndre Hopkins
The WR I hope the Pats do not draft is: Keenan Allen
The WR who will fit the Pats scheme is: Steadman Bailey
The WR who is the worst fit for the Pats scheme is: Keenan Allen

If they take a WR in round 1 I hope it is: Justin Hunter or Nuke
If they take a WR in round 2 I hope it is: Steadman Bailey
If they take a WR in round 3 I hope it is: Josh Boyce
If they take a WR after round 3 I hope it is: Kenny Stills

If they pass on ___Deandre Hopkins________ in round __2__ I will throw my TV out the window:

Rank these WR's the order that you prefer for the Patriots (might not be the overall rank you have them, some guys fit better than others):

DeAndre Hopkins
Cordarrelle Patterson
Justin Hunter
Tavon Austin
Robert Woods
Stedman Bailey
Markus Wheaton
Quinton Patton
Aaron Dobson
Keenan Allen

With just a few days until the draft, and the general feeling that the Pats will be looking to pick up a WR or two (though, Belichick has been known to pass on positions of need), I thought it would be interesting to see where the forum stood in terms of the prospects. So fill in the blanks:

The WR I hope the Pats draft is: Tavon Austin
The WR I hope the Pats do not draft is: Keenan Allen
The WR who will fit the Pats scheme is: Tavon Austin
The WR who is the worst fit for the Pats scheme is: ?

If they take a WR in round 1 I hope it is: Tavon Austin
If they take a WR in round 2 I hope it is: Justin Hunter
If they take a WR in round 3 I hope it is: Josh Boyce
If they take a WR after round 3 I hope it is: Marcus Davis

Rank these WR's the order that you prefer for the Patriots (might not be the overall rank you have them, some guys fit better than others):

2. Cordarrelle Patterson
1. Tavon Austin
9. Quinton Patton
8. Keenan Allen
7. Robert Woods
10. Stedman Bailey
4. DeAndre Hopkins
3. Justin Hunter
5. Aaron Dobson
6. Markus Wheaton

This thread will be all for naught if we don't actually get video of at least a couple of you throwing your tv out the window.

Check the time, was already like 12 under.

Hunter, Hopkins, or Wheaton would be good, in my opinion.

Of course, I'm sure none of those end up with the Pats. Texans are bound to take someone, and if a few more of the top WRs don't go before that, I'll be surprised. Team will probably end up with a guard or DT. Or trade down. Which wouldn't be bad necessarily, but still...just one "real" WR would be nice. Laughing

We definitely have to look into our options at the WR position in round 1. I do like Justin Hunter and Hopkins better then Patterson. Hopkins is my top WR in this class. Got the size and playmaking ability that is going to make him a great #1 WR. Stole the show many times this past season from fellow stud WR, Sammy Watkins.

Quinton Patton is another awesome fit for us. May have best hands in the draft, great route runner, and amazing character off-the-field. The more and more I look into him, the more I see him as a fit for us.

Either way if we can land a Hopkins, Hunter, Allen, or Patton, I'll be a happy man.
